Ordered!!!!

Absolutely spectacular deal for the G4. I had no idea I had partner store access, but the wife is a teacher with a verified ID.me account and that was all it took. $3087 shipped with VA tax for 77" G4.

GT had been down as low as $2850ish for the 77" G3, and I had been hoping to get costco in the $3000 range plus tax. But this is unheard of for the G4 which wasn't even on my radar. I'm sure its not a $1000 upgrade over the G3, but a G4 at this premium over bottom dollar G3 prices can't be beat.

HUGE THANKS to the OP!

This is a great deal. Once again people downvoting because they don't have access to partner store.

2897 for G4 77 with wall mount is hilariously good given the best deal for G3 77 was 2842 from greentoe without wall mount.

Thanks OP. I just placed an order for 77" G4 OLED with 2 year warranty for $3100 on east coast. Delivery end of June. Amazing deal.

I got the deal, also used Amex 4% cash back to even sweeten the deal further.
Are you sure this works for the lg member site? I couldn't get certain cash back deal to work either.

Is the G4 really going to be better than my 55 or 83" Sony A90j... the 55 performs way better then the 83 do to size. My wife said she hates the larger size TV because it's not and crisp and pretty as the 55. Long story short Wife said she was suprised i didnt order the 83" G4 yet. Haha. Im like we spent alot of $$$ on these Sony TVs.
Thanks. My mind is bent after dealing with Sony with issues on the 83 and two 77s over the last year. But Sony did make it right.
I replaced my 83" A90J with the G4. It gets significantly brighter when called for, but 99% of the time it won't be noticeable (only high APL or specular highlights) - that is unless you artificially increase brightness via picture mode or OLED Light in SDR, which is definitely noticeable. The biggest upgrade to me in near-black handling. The 83" A90J was one of the absolute worst TVs here due to loss of color, banding, and overshoot - G4 solves all of these. I will say the A90J looks just as detailed and actually has less posterization with gradients, so no real advantage there for the G4. Is it worth $4K? Only if the near-black issues bother you and you have the cash. Otherwise wait for a more revolutionary upgrade year either in screen tech or bigger size.

This is a real issue - based on comment #138 - https://www.avsforum.com/threads/lg-oled-g4-hdmi2-issues-beware.3299142/page-3?nested_view=1&sortby=... [avsforum.com] - this looks like a hardware issue. I am quite torn now as it will be a pain to have to tackle returns and warranty claims. I just deferred my order into July to allow time for maybe some upgraded hardware updates or firmware updates. I ordered both 77 & *83 inch but in no rush quite honestly as my Panasonic plasma VT60 still kicks ass lol.
I doubt it's hardware. I have yet to see the issue. People who have claim it's tied to launching a TV app, then switching to HDMI. A reboot fixes it. Clearly sounds like firmware to me.

The more I read about it the more I'm torn as well. The return process to LG would be quite a hassle as it's not brick and mortar. I also ordered the Costco S90C 77" from the recent sale in case this issue might be more than what I want to deal with.
The process isn't as easy as brick & mortar, but it's not bad. You call LG, get the return approved, then schedule the pickup... only catch is keep the packaging and straps in-tact so they can transport it back. I got my refund a couple days after it was picked up (returned to re-order at this deal pricing).

Ordered 77g4 May 20 which showed May 25 delivery date.
Didn't get ship notification until May 24
Delivered May 25.

I opted to decline Handy. This gave me some major angst in both directions, but I knew I needed both support and electrical work to get the TV where I wanted it, and I didn't trust Handy to do it right or without a major upsell. It also seemed unlikely that Handy would initially accept responsibility if something went bad in the install and I'd be left fighting LG on it anyways.

Whether that was correct choice or not, I did successfully get it done myself with a buddy to help lifting. Some tips:

1. Watch a few youtube videos. The written instructions make it seem way more complex than it is, and the youtube videos helped me.

2. The slim mount can only go on studs 16" OC. So if you have a single stud in the center of where you want it to go (like I did), you will need to get creative. I opted to remove the drywall, and install 2x6 blocking, itself supported by some 2x4 blocks I attached to the studs.

3. I purchased a 14"x14" Legrand recessed box kit on Amazon with an outlet attachment and installed this 6-8" below the mount area. Cable management is important so it can sit flush to the wall, so I did not lock the location of this until I had the back of the TV in front of me.

4. One of the tips I picked up from a YouTube video was to leave the TV sitting in the bottom of the box and lift that as part of the actual install. A little more awkward, but with the mount fully extended there is space to do this. It makes it functionally impossible to damage the bottom of the TV during the lift.

5. The other thing I was REALLY concerned about was pushing the TV in at the end to collapse the mount. The instructions say to push the top and bottom first, then the center where the mount is. I couldn't get it to collapse with the (very light) amount of pressure I was willing to risk. I ended up using the giant styrofoam piece that protect the front of the TV in the box to push the TV in. This allowed me to provide even pressure to a huge amount of surface area at once, and it collapse nicely. No idea if this is needed, but it made me feel way better about it.

Just ordered 77" G4 for $2,897.99 + tax with Amex 4% (which expires 5/31/24 for me). Earliest delivery for me was July 1st.

Insane deal as I have been eyeing the ~$2800 for the 77 g3 on GT for a while now!

Coming from a 55" C2, this is going to be amazing lol

The Amex offer is "up to 4% rebate." So for a $3000.00 tv, 4% = $120.00

They're in and out of stock. If you really want the 83" just wait, then if you're up against it, get the 77. The 83 was out of stock in my zip, then in, then out etc. I grabbed one eventually,

Has anyone received delivery of a 55 or 65" unit yet? If so, did it include a mount?

I bought the G4 on the 21st. It's been a week and it still says processing. Anyone here get theirs right away or is this normal?

Edit:
