-did you like the puzzle parts of Breath of the Wild and platformer / jump sections overall? If so, buy the DLC, it is 90% more of that.
-If you didn't like those puzzles or suck at platforming in general (me) then the DLC is probably a waste of money.
The top down DLC is neat but I doubt most people will play it for more than a few hours so mostly should not be considered a deciding factor (I honestly bought the gold because I thought the top down version was going to be more engaging)
Personally I liked the exploring part of the game best so the main game was what I spend 50 hours on, might have 5 hours invested in everything else combined. The 'vaults' really tired me they were all so long. The first 5 minutes figuring out he puzzles was great....the 30-45 minutes trying to get the puzzle to completion then dropping a ball off the side of the map being forced to almost start over....not so much
Plays perfectly on the Steam Deck.

Not sure about the DLC, I got bored before I got to it. That's no strike because I got bored with BoTW and Cyberpunk early in the DLC.

I feel very similar. I got bored of this and put it down but still recommend it to anyone. I may pick it back up, but I got my $10 of fun out of it.

There are a lot of puzzles.
Beath of the Wild Ubisoft version
I honestly wouldn't have been upset if Ubisoft gave it a proper sequel but I think they've moved on.
