R3DTR1X turned me onto the BB outlet deal late last year. Had to wait a while for my local outlet to get them in stock, but ended up purchasing two at this price. No regrets.
No MLA tech in any of LG's C series.
MLA was new for the G3 series last year but only available up to 77"
MLA (gen 2) available in the G4 series this year up to 83"
I doubt any third parties (Sony, Panasonic, etc) will get access to 83" panels with MLA tech this year. But third party 77" w/ MLA is likely.
The G3 83" does NOT include MLA. It has the same WOLED panel as the C3 83".
*NO* 83+ inch panels included MLA until this years 83" G4 series.
97" G4 - No MLA.
MLA is pretty awesome but you pay a very high premium for it at the largest sizes. (LG commands a premium given this is top tier consumer tech and they tend to keep the largest panel size with MLA for their own brand.)
I picked up two 83" C2's at BB outlet on clearance for 2150ish as mentioned above. Now that the C2 has the updated menu system like the C3, very little difference between the C2 and C3.
At 2150 for an 83" C2 vs 4100 for a G4 83" - I'd pick up another (no longer available) C2 and wait for prices to come down on MLA tech at this size.
At 3000 for 83" C3 - Unless you are in a bind, I'd wait for prices to come down to ~2400 ish.

That being said, I've yet to buy an 83". I promised my wife that the 77" would be the biggest I buy (for now). She's been inordinately understanding of my television addiction…

I'm not rushing out to replace my 2022 sony oled, but if I didn't already have a good tv and if the price difference wasn't ridiculous, then I'd be watching for a good price on one of the brighter new sets.
It's not a night and day difference, but it is a decent incremental improvement.
If the latest and greatest isn't in the budget I would still buy what I have now, the standard OLED's are still worth it and even more so when you can find them on clearance or refurb deals.
You could spend half the cost going with the older tech, the improvement in the new sets isn't double the picture quality.
