I have a ton of ego yard tools and batteries. I originally had 2x 7.5ah batteries…both started randomly flashing red lights and failing within 2 years. Both were replaced under warranty after a very long back and forth with ego customer service. Within 3 months one of the replacements started having the same problem, no longer covered under warranty. Seems there are some major QC issues with their batteries, seems to be a know issue with a bad/weak solder perhaps. So now I have 4 batteries, 3 of which randomly shut off while in use until I reseat them…and it happens over..and over…and over again. I hate these batteries, love the tools though.

I got it. Unfortunately, mine arrived used/open-boxed. Don't mind that but don't sell something as new if it is not. For that reason, Amazon is trash. Any item that is discounted by them should be judged before purchase. Their customer service has gone to poo since covid.
