Not a well reviewed site. But I have not had any issues in past.

use 20% off link on site banner to get deal.

Looks like this was shared a few years back. Same chair - about the same price. Some reports of damaged chairs. FYI. Dice roll - but that is the life of a slick dealer!

QA note: price is $95.99 before tax and shipping costs which vary by location

Just FYI, or for others, it has a 7 year warranty.

I've been using one for about 3 years. Last week the base split where the gas lift sits (probably what happened to you as well). I called them and now a new base, gas lift and chair base (everything between the wheels and seat) is on its way to me. After 3 years of daily use I think that's incredible for a $100-150 chair.

I wouldn't compare it to Herman Miller, or even something like a Quantum 9000, but I think it's the best you can get unless you spend around $300 or find a hell of a deal. Keep in mind Dexley is designed for big/tall people. Hyken is the same chair but smaller.
I just threw mine away after... 4 years of use because the piston went through the base. Heavy use as a work at home user. It's a comfortable chair at a fraction of the price of a Herman miller. Big fan of the mesh. That being said I upgraded to a used Herman Miller and won't be looking back
Just arrived and assembled. Damn the box was heavier than I remembered. Thought maybe something changed - but then lifted my old chair (same chair) - and it is just as heavy.

What a great well-built chair.

You will have no regrets - solid well built chair. Box looked mint - no damage to contents inside.

Its no "Herman Miller" --- but definitely close... maybe a Sherman Schiller?

Looking at the side view of the two chairs, it seems like the Hyken would fit smaller and shorter people and the Dexley wider and taller people.

Hyken- https://www.staples-3p.com/s7/is/...00&hei=700

Dexley- https://www.staples-3p.com/s7/is/...00&hei=700

Would this be good for a 6' 5" person or no?

I'm 6'3" and it's good for me, but I do set the lumbar and head rest at their highest positions. The lumbar is fine except it doesn't stay put. I need to find a way to lock it in place. Like somebody else mentioned there are 3D Printable mods to raise the headrest but I haven't tried that.

My main thought is if you are big and fairly heavy it might degrade faster. It has a warranty but at some point it would be annoying to keep repairing it.

You can get a separate seat cushion on Amazon. The mesh chairs are very sturdy. Chairs that have a seat cushion already installed flatten out over time. You can't replace those cushions and often times those chairs are made from fake leather that flakes and gets all over the floor. I recommend getting a small pillow for the lower back too. You'll have really nice ergonomics.

That's a good idea but what about seat height then?

Any suggestions for the cushions?

I prefer a cushion like this: https://www.amazon.com/Osilly-Car...0CKYFJM3G/

Notice the cushion tapers off at the front (where your knees would be located). That means it won't dig into your hamstrings. That's the worst when you have a seat cushion that does that. They often look like these: https://www.amazon.com/BlissTrend...0BZCJRJML/ stay away from those seat cushions.

The seat cushion style I recommended above I like pairing with an adjustable foot stool too. That ALSO prevents your hamstrings from digging into your cushion and allows you to move your feet around so they don't get restless.

Get a nice little lower back pillow too and you're set. You don't need to spend $1,000 on a Herman Miller chair. I have this Dexley with the above items, and I can be on my computer chair all day without any discomfort. The headrest doesn't get used because the lower back pillow will give you perfect posture. You won't even want to use it. The key also is to have your arm rest on your chair to be parallel with your keyboard so all of your arm's weight goes to the armrest. That will prevent your shoulders/neck from being strained. Then you get a wrist support for your keyboard like this https://www.amazon.com/MEKASS-Key...0C2Z547ZT/ and you have everything you need to be on a computer for hours without any pain.

What is so special about this chair? This is better than a leather computer chair right?

Okay so if you are not close to 300lbs, this isn't that big of a deal?

What about the other staples chair that is on sale now that cost a little bit more? That is better? Has lot more replies.

If you're not close to 300lb I would probably go with a Herman Miller chair. Their weight limits start at 600lb with their entry level chairs.

I'm 5'11" and with the flipped headrest mod, the Hyken works great for me. But I agree, anyone over 6' should either try out the Dexley or Hyken without the head rest.
FYI this is a good gaming chair.
Flipped headrest mod??? What's that?

I had a chance to try about 10 of cheap Chinese ergonomic mesh chairs. Among those Chinese chairs, chairs with 2 separate backs are generally more comfy. I bought one, and it is 80% the same as my Aeron chair.

Chinese single back chair is cheaper, but less comfy. (Or just get a Herman Miller)

https://www.amazon.com/Soohow-Erg...1_14_sspa?

Don't get this specific chair, because the seat is not mesh. But the chair is a personal thing, so it's best to try it yourself before you buy...
