Ridiculous post. Turok 3 Remastered alone is 30 bucks on Steam right now.
They made a Turok 2 & 3? Where the heck was I as a kid

Turok 2 was an absolutely fantastic multiplayer. Playable even on dialup in the middle of nowhere.

Turok 3 is only game I want out of this deal since I already own Doom 64 and the other Turok titles. Looks I'll have to wait till Turok 3 goes on sale.

Because you swear they have done nothing for the games in these releases. The turok ones specifically, have only recently been ported over. Turok 3 had to be reengineered from the ground up because there were issues with the code only being available on the N64. Each Turok comes with updated Quality of Life updates to make exploring and quest navigation easier, along with updated lighting and effects.

Is it a new AAA title? No. Is it better than before and does it offer something for fans of the series? Absolutely. Quit trying to troll, you silly goose. Just don't buy it if you don't want it, these are worth the price point imo.

Turok 1 was mostly about the dinosaurs, you got some monsters towards the end, but the second and third get a lot more into sci-fi but it didn't really have the storage/hardware to tell a competent story.
My N64 Expansion Pak begs to differ. XD

you guys are really trying hard to argue with me on my opinion, I'm not trolling I was the first post here Stick Out Tongue I just commented on the deal itself. I checked out the deal, saw the 1995 original Half life looking graphics in a pack and said this looks like old garbage, I still think so. Since I don't have your nostalgic "feels" getting me all warm and fuzzy I can argueably be more objective Stick Out Tongue By all means keep trying to convince me I'm sure I'll come around ROFL!!!!!

I was more thinking the storage limitations. It was trying to tell this whole story with cutscenes and such but it was... compressed.

In those times we used to actually get flooded with games unlike todays remaster and remakes with new IP's that pale in comparison to the golden eras of gaming. So missing game releases isn't surprising due to how much variety was put out during those times.

Based on this trend of Steam games released by year I would guess that during Turok 2's era there weren't more games released that year even on the N64. Honestly major releases per system back then could have been counted on one hand Wink

Eh, I'd assume just play it on an emulator and let people mod the games as they see fit.

Seems crazy to charge $20-30 for the effort of putting lipstick on something old. $2-5 per game is about right.

Also, why would anyone want to play a port of Doom 64 on PC when they could just play the best version natively anyways?

Maybe if a person was a console fanboy/girl or they just didn't have the money to own multiple consoles but as someone who had multiple consoles this new era of gaming pales in comparison to the past and its not even close.

https://www.nintendolife.com/game...&year=1998 my n64 got a lot of use that year.

Even the 7th generation washes what is put out in todays era checkout a video by crowbcat and he does a timeline of 360 games release dates and how frequent they were dropping compared to these walking simulators and water downed arena and fps shooters we have today.

"So stop being poor?"

This isn't reddit. No one is impressed by that defection on SD.

So 105 games vs 15,000 (in my link)? Yeah, close....ish if you count the N64....142 times then round up Wink

The goalpost was number of games released by year, that goalpost was disproved and not even by a narrow margin. Now the goalpost is down the street discussing the quality of games as if that is the same topic? Different conversation entirely. What next, if Master Chief could beat Link in a game of Mario Kart?

I posted a link showing how many games were on n64 (most sequels or actual new IPs in 98 so no goal post was moved. That is more than one hand.

And most games now aren't new IP's they are remasters and remakes and a bunch of shovel ware games.

During the time Turok 2 came out most people aka kids didn't have money to buy games so people missed out because 105 was a lot most kids growing up barely had more the 10 n64 games let alone 20 because of prices for them were always high even used.

Also there was no online or kids weren't at the store every day hell or even months so it was much easier in the past to overlook titles.

Even many rental shops excluded many titles making it easy to miss out.

So less than 15,000....or even close? So, objectively, there was not more games "flooding" in 20-25 years ago vs today. Yes, even with remasters / rereleases not being counted it isn't a contest. More games in 2024 were released before January ended vs the entire year of 1998 (or whatever other date you choose to cherry pick). Heck, you could move the goalpost to just AAA games released for major platforms and it still isn't even close.

BTW, I stopped reading after that because I could tell the goalpost was being moved so far away I might need a passport.

Have a great day and enjoy the last word. I cannot reason with someone whose world view is clouded by 'memberberries and back in my day nostalgia. Logic just can't compete...

Ridiculous post. Who cares if the game is selling at full retail on Steam for $30. The game is still a 23 year old game.

Slapping remastered on a game and selling it (again) at full retail doesn't make it a good deal.

I get from your username that you are probably in that very small group of super fans that think $30 for the game is a deal.

Me? It is worth about 50 cents for nostalgia. Same price I paid for T1 and T2 to have them on Steam and "remastered."

VaultTec is right even if he is overly generous with his $10.
