Creatine!!! It's 100% scientifically proven, and safe. It may not work for some users but try out different brands, it essentially gets the water in your body and makes your muscle hold it. This makes you stronger which helps you grow muscles
No but investigate creatine. It is incredibly well researched and shown to provide some real improvements for most people.

NO this is a marketing gimmick. If anything, creatine will make a small difference. Outside of that everything is marginal/placebo besides hard "gear". EAAS are the only amino acids that have a very small negligible effect. You're better off drinking gatoraid or equivalent

Everything I've seen about BCAA is purely antidotal, however I have been using as a post workout sports drink since beginning of the year. In my opinion I think they reduce soreness and speed up recovery time for me. Ever since I started taking them I felt like I've been able to bounce back from a hard workout much faster. Price wise it usually comes out to be much cheaper than buying sports drinks like Gatorade or Powerade and there's a lot of crossover with them so I figure as long as I like the taste why not.

Na. Just stay hydrated and get enough protein . Ideally 1g per 1lb of ideal body weight. Get EAAs if anything. It's all of the amino acids. This is only 3 of them. Hope this helps

I'm in the same boat... The answer is no. Whey and creatine is the only proven supplements. Only thing I would suggest are Magnesium (chelated) and vit D assuming you aren't getting enough from your meals.

I would say yes....no matter if you workout in the am, at 5pm or late night.....that extra boost of energy to push you through is worth the literally 33 cents.

I do 2000 steps on the step mill then go back later and hit weights, I take half of one before each session.

only other thing I take is one or two protein drinks a day

edit: no caffeine in this one, skip this brand and go with another on slickdeals, set an alert for pre workout.

the C4 brand i take has 180mg and again cost 33 cents , 30 servings

No. BCAAs have been resoundingly been proven to be ineffective for anything related to fitness. It's a massive scam. At 40, you've begun to experience sarcopenia. You've been losing about 1% of testosterone every year since about 35 years old. Don't waste your money on this. Invest in quality food and take whey isolate to bring up your protein intake to match your needs based on your fitness/exercise level. Simply Google BCAA and exercise and review the studies for yourself. Don't fall for EAAs either. Anyone recommending either does not understand any research on the subject and fall for marketing hype. They also confuse the feeling of caffeine (often included) with it "working.". They're mistaken.

There is no scientific proofs of benefits of separate BCAA intake compared to whole proteins. At least that's what AI says. If you struggle with diet balancing (protein intake), just add protein concentrate to your diet and that's it.

Protein isolate. Concentrate is a cheap and inferior form of powder protein. Isolate can be as much as 99% assimilated but concentrate ranges between 80% to 85%.

You're recommending a protein powder that has both, ace-K and sucralose. Both have been shown in studies to be harmful to intestinal gut flora and negatively affect glucose uptake.

This is more for recovery and slightly advertised for muscle building as well. But you take BCAAs to aid in recovery and soreness. And hydration if this brand adds that in. But to answer your question I would say yes use this. While you work out. Protein after. And maybe incorporate some creatine if you want to get stronger.

I have this brand with "Syntha-6" version. I noticed it helped with avoiding muscle soreness the day after a workout. Tried it the day of for skiing/snowboarding, and it worked. So either this is better for recovery than that or you can just pick up that variant

That stuff tastes good

I'm now 60. I've been using this exact BCAA for 20 years or so. I drink it during workout with Creatine included. Lots of comments here but as all things, you can find both positives and negatives for almost anything on the internet. News flash, not everything is true on the internet.

I look about 45 years old and walk around with show quality muscle. (Mrs. hangs on to my arm!)
I attribute it to:
1. Diet (especially staying away from sugar and CORN SYRUP!)
2. Regular workout, hitting different body parts regularly 4-5 times a week.
I can bench twice my weight but have stopped that kind of weight for the last year. Age.
3. Vitamin supplements which includes this product and creatine.

Looking at my Amazon purchases this will be the 18th time I've bought it from Amazon.
No regrets and it's a great price.
I suggest looking up positives and negatives for you to decide but I will continue using it.

Yes, I know this reply is mostly about me but that's the point.
When you make a choice and get the results you're after, and can walk around turning heads at a huge 5'5", and at 60, you know it's working.

Hope this helps.
