Fantastic gun for the price, you can get great results if you practice a bit. I usually spray lacquer but I've also sprayed shellac-based primer and I recently sprayed a lacquer-based conversion varnish. Once you thin to the right consistency you get a nice even finish.

Pro-tip: buy a different one of these for each type of finish you spray. And if you're spraying some really important pieces, like a several thousand dollar table top, just buy a brand new one so you can guarantee you don't get any boogers.
