I've won Fortnite and warzone matches playing on an old 60hz monitor lol. Couldn't imagine needing anything more than 240 tbh.
I can definitely tell the difference between 60hz and 120hz. I can barely tell the difference between 120hz and 240hz. I haven't seen anything higher than 240hz, but I cannot believe that I would be able to tell the difference. This is bonkers to me, but if it's a deal to someone more power to them.

I agree. 60-120 is the biggest noticable difference. The speed also greatly reduces blur so you could also assume a monitor this fast should look clearer. I say all this but once I went 4K there is just no going back imo. I'll adjust settings to still hit 240hz 4k and it'll still look better than 1080p.
I think 2k res 240hz is the sweet spot for high end gaming. I have 240hz 2k and 360hz 1080p and I don't see the difference on refresh rate at all on a game like valorant (700+ fps). From 60 to 165 was huge difference, and 165 to 240 hz was barely noticeable but the difference is there as long as your game can pull 300+ fps. From 240 to 360, I can't tell the difference at all.
Wouldn't a oled 240hz be just as responsive? I've seen 1440p 27inch 240hz old meds for $550-$600 on here every so often.
Oled has instant pixel response times, so even though the frame to frame latency may be faster on this 500hz unit, the motion clarity will still be superior on the OLED as there's zero ghosting.
Hi refrsh rate benefit is also reduced input latency. Like with any hobby, dimensioning returns after a certain tier. For competitive gamers and Street Fighter 6, Dell/Alienware High refresh rate with USB hubs are my prefrence. I already have a 1080p/240hz 24.5" & 1440/165hz 27" but would bite for refurb of this at 360hz or 500hz in 24.5"/1080p for $199 range 🤩
