For first year.
Using them for 14 years now on annual plan with unlock phone. Bounced between their AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, found T-Mobile to be the best of the three (Cleveland, OH area). I found annual plan, just work, you activate the plans and let it run. Then buy the same annual plan when it on sale to "stack" them. I found myself use about 10GB on Mobile and 30Gb on WiFi, phone mainly use to check email and look stuff up for work.
Tech support can be a hit or miss, I have a good luck with their chat support, but be warn of spending a good 2 hours to have your issue resolve.

Per the above posts:
Red Pocket is fine on AT&T (can't speak for TMobile):
Mild Complaints:
- I've had be allocated data be wrong a few times and they have to fix it in my account. Randomly my account will go to 5GB of data for no reason, and I have to do chat support for them to fix it. Seems to happens once per year ish.
- You don't get to see where your data allotment is currently, you only get a notification text when it's low.
- Red Pocket's Pricing has gotten less competitive over the years. I used to get 15gb of data for less than $20. They eliminated that offering and the 10gb plan is priced the same now. Their unlimited pricing is too high if not on sale.
- Red Pocket throttles hard. Data becomes unusable if you exceed the limit.
I'll likely switch off of Red Pocket when my contract is up b/c 10gb is too little data, the pricing isn't what is used to be, and there are better priced unlimited plans.Per the above posts:
