Guitar Center has the BOSS RC-1 Ultimate Looper Kit that includes the RC-1 looper pedal with two 6" patch cables for $100, with free shipping and 10% Gear Card rewards if using that credit card.
Musician's Friend has it for the same price, with 8% Musician's Friend rewards and free shipping.
Typically, the pedal alone is $115-$120, so getting the patch cables and the pedal for a lower price is a decent deal.

The rc5 is a lot better if you can afford it with much better sound quality, actually decent drums, and more memory. There are also a bunch of other features but they require menu diving that you might not realistically commit to figuring out. (I say this because I have an rc500 and it's a pain to program more advanced features sometimes).
At this price point you can compare to some tc electronic models and other simple one button loopers you can find on Amazon, or other places. But it's usually hard to beat value of Boss when you consider build quality and reliability.

I like the fact that Boss pedals never feel cheap. They're the majority of pedals on my board now, and I didn't plan it that way.
Single instrument, probably this, but better yet just buy a BOSS DD-500 for around $200 and get the ability to have a couple hundred great quality digital delays with a built in looper.
For a multi-instrumentalist, the RC-505 is the one-man-band machine.
Do you just want to just play lead guitar over rythyms, or bass along with guitar? DD-500.
Do you want to be Marc Rebillet and yell, "let the man fuking cook," in your underwear? RC-505.
Are you a young person without a year or two of savings in the bank/investments? Just get a $15 mini looper pedal off Amazon or AliExpress.

Good advice. I'm actually in the market for a dd8 as well. You think a a dd500 is actually the way to go? Looks like it would cover all the bases for both looper and delay. Or are there features in the dd8 and rc5 I'd be missing?
I have the DD500 and LOVE IT! There are more sounds in that pedal than I'll ever use! Plus you can tweak it with their app on the computer. I don't use the looper much since I have a Digitech looper I like a lot.
Of course it is if you have the space on your pedal board. You are going to pay over 125 for a used DD-8, and then you are going to pay $15 to get a separate tap switch. So, you've spent $140, and you still aren't going to have a screen, looper, midi, more delays, dual delays, and probably other things I'm not thinking of. It's a no brainer at $200 unless you don't have the space. I bought mine from a pawn shop off eBay.
DD-500, MD-500, and RV-500 for under $600. Pretty much the most powerful processing of any pedals at the time they were released. Then everyone went Strymon (and now Eventide) and sold off these really good pedals. The Strymon default algorithms are nice, but there's still a ton of value in these pedals. Being a late adopter as others follow the crowd is pretty great. I play guitar, bass, and synth through them.

My wife will not be happy that you talked me into three new pedals 😂
Tell her it's either this or $1500 of Strymon and Eventide pedals. You can't afford not to do it.
Which digitech looper do you have that you love?
