YMMV (as with ALL Amex Offers)

DETAILS
Get a one-time $98 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single purchase of $98 or more on a Walmart Business+ Membership only online at business.walmart.com/plus by 11/24/2024. See terms.

OFFER TERMS
Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid only for Walmart Business+ Memberships purchased online only at business.walmart.com/plus [walmart.com]. If you are a new customer receiving a free trial, you must be enrolled in the free trial prior to the campaign end date to qualify. Charges may not post to your account until the free trial has lapsed. Please note if you purchase a membership, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your membership will automatically renew for another membership period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable membership fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. Excludes all other Walmart purchases. Offer is non-transferable. Valid only on purchases made in US dollars. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member. You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as qualifying for the offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 11/24/2024, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items/services from your qualifying purchase have been shipped/provided by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your purchase as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account. The enrolled Card account must be active, not past due, canceled, or have a returned payment outstanding to receive the statement credit. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Amex Offers are available for varying and limited periods of time and are dynamic and personalized. If you navigate away from the Amex Offers page, you may see different offers when you return. For questions regarding your Card Account, please call the number on the back of your Card. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer.

Kind of like when I buy take-out food and they ask if I want to tip the cashier...

As with about 50% of Amex Offers, I don't see all of them either.
No one has ever figured out how American Express pushes these offers out to users.

As with ALL Amex Offers - YMMV (as one user already mentioned and requested be added to the title - which I'll do - but I have always known and thought it was pretty much common knowledge - EVERY Amex Offer automatically is a YMMV).

I believe there may be a post already regarding that offer - if not, you should Post a Deal About it and share with the greater SD Community.

ein ?
Business entities—corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies—must use EINs. But most sole proprietors don't need to get an EIN and use their Social Security numbers instead.

Walmart business will verify your business in order to have an account. I am in suspension until I submit biz docs.

In addition, there is a $100 offer here for small business month: https://info.walmartbusiness.com/...month.html [walmartbusiness.com]
Anyone can own a Sole Proprietorship, using their SSN (instead of an EIN) and claim a business. This is why Walmart cannot just arbitrarily (or legally) try to define what is and what is not a business in their terms. They could require a certain level of income or employees but they don't in their terms.
Quote :
2. Your Eligibility [walmart.com]
You represent and warrant that your organization is a valid business entity, government entity, or non-profit organization (each, an "Eligible Organization"). If you are an individual, please visit Walmart.com instead. If you are uncertain whether your organization is an Eligible Organization, please contact us as described in Section 28 (Contact Us).
You also represent and warrant that you are an authorized representative of your organization and have the legal authority (as well as the legal capacity) to bind your organization when using Walmart Business, and you hereby agree to this Agreement on behalf of yourself and your organization. If you do not have such authority and capacity, you are not permitted to use or access Walmart Business and we may immediately terminate your use of and access to Walmart Business.

3. Business Accounts

3.i. Account Creation and Verification
In order to transact on Walmart Business, you must first register for an account. As part of the account registration process, you must provide us with certain required information, which may include the name of your business, address, phone number and email address, among other possible information.
You acknowledge that we may share the information you provide as part of the account registration process with our third-party service providers in order to verify your eligibility for a Business Account.
We may reject, or require that you change, any username, password or other information that you provide to us in the account registration process. We may require you to provide to us additional business information for verification or due diligence purposes ("Additional Verification").
After you have completed the account registration process, an account on Walmart Business will be created for you (a "Business Account"). If we require you to undergo Additional Verification after the creation of your Business Account, you may be able to transact on Walmart Business while such Additional Verification is in progress. However, Walmart will have the right, in our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your Business Account, including by limiting any or all transactions on Walmart Business, until all Additional Verification is complete to our satisfaction.
They can list all the above but no where do they indicate what they determine is a business and what is not a business. It would help, I guess, if you had a EIN [irs.gov] or a Business License issued by your state that would help but nothing in their terms seems to deny someone with a sole proprietorship (Etsy Account, eBay account, crafter, etc...) from joining.

Also, per their terms, I'm curious as to why you are suspended - because they state:

Just passing on what happened to me yesterday. This is from the email I got:

Hello xxxx,

Thanks for signing up for Walmart Business. Unfortunately, we're having difficulty verifying your organization and as a result, your account has been temporarily suspended.

Please contact us if you would like to provide additional information to help us verify your organization and reinstate your account.

I do have a legit business so I was able to supply documents but given it's a holiday weekend, I don't think I'll see any resolution until next week.

I've never seen that before. They usually look it up through your state's records. (Usually through a 3rd party like LexisNexis or Experian)

I'm sure I'll pass once the docs are processed but it was more of information if someone was looking to take advantage. I had a much easier time getting dozens of business credit cards so it was surprising.

Yes, as one who has played mightily in the Credit Card Bonus Points churning game over the years, I went ahead years ago and forked over the $10 to my State to "register my business" - What a joke - it's just money grab but it got me that "State Business License".

Any and all money I made on my side-hustles was just added to my regular income anyway on my tax forms. I never went deeper into claiming deductions, losses, etc...

Same here. Legit self employed but some clients "felt more comfortable" dealing with an entity so I created a biz name and got the DBA. That certificate has served me well over the years with biz bonuses.

Tipping a driver 20% of order value is insane. So you'll tip 20% on an apple watch delivery? Vs a similarly sized item like a printer cartridge that costs say $20? When I tip a driver to complete the same task it's nuts to tip on the value of the item. Give them a $5-10 tip based on driving time as a courtesy. Tipping is getting out of hand lately.

It's also stores asking for donations too. Then there's the girl scouts, solicitors, etc. Everybody got their hand out.

Probably only on business cards. I have 6 Amex cards and only shows on the one business.
