Weeklies didn't extend as expected.

Didn't get any x/xx or % on printed receipt for both cards.

Am hoping for 10/70 flash (only x/xx my card gets) after using Thursday % email today...but if not still a good week to roll ~$20 ECB's between CG, Maybelline and Crest.

FYI, there are reports on some other sites that clearanced CoverGirl items are working for the 'buy 3, get $10 ecb' offer. I even saw someone ask one of the people who posted it get ridiculed by that person for asking.

Since the online price of the items already showed the 50% off price and the item working for the deal, I asked the shift what she thought and if we could test it and she agreed to do so. Bottom line, the items that were 50% off did not work and I did not get my $10 ecb on my receipt or in my account. The shift said she'd print the $10 that one time, since she had also thought it reasonable it might work.

The $10 ECB deal I posted did not automatically give the $10 ECB, which I found out in store. However, on the website the items are listed as counting toward the ECB deal. When I showed the cashier that from the website, she manually printed the ECB.

Good to know. The biggest issue with this is anyone who has more than one card can probably only do this once per store/cashier. Given the instructions many managers are giving to their employees to write down the card numbers for those who are using more than one, causing 'extra' work, etc. we should all be careful.

From something she said after she issued the ecb, I think the shift was going to have to explain why she issued it. I haven't asked in a long time for a manual print, but do know loss prevention has been hassling the stores in my area a lot over all sorts of stuff.

Interesting, I shop at multiple CVS stores and never have issues with the managers/supervisors issuing ECB that don't print appropriately. They want to make things right for the customer. IMO, the losses are much greater due to theft, at least at some of the stores in my area. They could make some changes to discourage theft, but that's off topic, lol...

One thing I wanted to mention, if you're not doing the Covergirl deal because you used your dq's last week, don't have the insert q's, you don't have enough ecbs and don't want to pay out of pocket or your store doesn't have the right combo to make the ecb deal worth doing, there is something to check out.

With the 50% off coupons, there are a number of Covergirl items that are $5.25 - $6. It looks like the $5 dq works on most, if not all of them, so you could get an item pretty cheap.

On the downside, the $5 does not come off at SCO on an item that is under $5. I don't know if it would come off at the register with a cashier.

I did check the L'oreal and Revlon sections for 50% off items that might work with the $3 dq, but didn't find anything worth it to me so far. If you see anything in the $3-5 range after the 50% off sale in either of these brands, please post that information.

Thanks for mentioning! I've also heard from several reliable sources that there are many CG items online on sale for 50% off that are counting towards the EB. If you still have the 3/1 eye and/or 3/1 face eq's from last week, even better.

CVS should have to honor the $10 extrabucks in-store for the 50% off foundation as long as it says on their website that it works. If it's not supposed to work, they need to post a disclaimer. When I refunded my transaction because the extra bucks didn't print, CVS kept the extra bucks that I paid with and I had to ask for a manual print to get it back. I also lost my digital coupons which would've been fine if it was my mistake but it wasn't. It was CVS's mistake. Isn't stuff like this a business violation that CVS should be fined for?

Gain Flings is another issue. The 42 ct is listed in the weekly ad as being on sale for $9.99 but it's not available in-store or online. CVS has the 25 ct super duper pods (which usually sell for them same price as the 42 ct regular pods) but it rings up at full price and it doesn't count for the $10 extra bucks deal. One of them says Happy on the front which is kind of ironic, don't you think? Once again, a disclaimer would've been nice. Something like we're sorry that the 42 ct Gain Flings are not available at this time. It would've been even even nicer if CVS had added we will be happy to substitute the 25 ct Gain Flings at the same price. Wags has the 25 ct on sale for $9.99 this week and it's part of their RR deal. Why can't CVS do the same?
