I have 4 of these exact chairs (chili color too) from a deal last year. They've sat on my porch uncovered for the entire time. They look mostly new aside from a couple of spots where bird poop marred the finish. I expect to get a solid 5 years or so out of these. Certainly not polywood quality, but at roughly 1/4 of the price, I'm satisfied.

Haven't gotten the new ones yet, they should arrive tomorrow. Based on what I was reading these (Hampton bay) do not hold up well in weather/sun.
Someone in the Q&A said acacia from Vietnam. Not sure if it's accurate.
