Nice deal. I think I paid $279 around black friday without the gloves or mousepad. Good starter wheel/pedals. I'm ready to upgrade to DD but not unsatisfied with the G923 at all.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Gloves are nice I guess (doesn't really give any benefit for a sim setup with a fake leather wheel), but a mousepad is kinda silly to bundle. They are just adding random stuff because it's hard to justify the entry level Logitech wheel when the t300rs goes on sale often for not much more, and dd entry level wheel are much more affordable now. I can't recommend the new Logitech wheels. The old g25s were better. New ones have such a high failure rate.

There was a deal last year with shifter for ~$225. Already had a shifter and couldn't justify the deal as "TRUEFORCE" seemed like a minor upgrade over the previous gen - and with very limited support from games one might actually want to play (which often seems to be the case with these types of accessories).

How big a difference does one of these make? I get bored quickly with Forza games with the controller, a few laps in. A big problem is the controller requires so much concentration just to keep the car going where you want it to.

You can bundle the wheel with the shifter for $300 altogether but the gloves/mouse pad disappears on cart. Only way to bring them back is by deleting the shifter.

Definitely not worth it on the horizon series, not sure about motorsport.

I have this set up with a pretty nice cockpit connected to a PS4 using Grand Turismo. You have to dedicate some real time to understand the racing dynamics. Having a more immersive setup helps with that. This combined with surround sound really changes the experience. I'm pretty hooked now. There is no way that would have happened w a controller. To add, the online racing changed everything for me. Way more fun, even though people behave immaturely until you get to the higher level races where crashing and bumping is looked down upon.

the PS4 was collecting dust as we have XBOX series X and S. so I made it into a dedicated racing sim.

Still too much. Can we get it for $199?

Also, can you please include the shifter?

I know, I know. One can dream!

not in the Horizon series. Again I never bothered to try it in motorsport since I don't play that hardly ever and it's a huge PITA to move my racing rig from the basement to my TV but I've tried to make a racing wheel fun on Forza Horizon for a long time, it's kind of cool to drive around with but it's not even remotely realistic and it makes you a much worse driver in the game. I'm in actual racing sims like iRacing a wheel and pedals are a must but in an arcade style game they are a detriment. Again, I have not tried with the motorsport series though

Forza Horizon is very much an arcade like racer rather than sim. Try Forza Motorsport.
