My guess is because it is LeFePO4 which has a lower discharge rate compared to lithium ion ones.

Just search jump starter reviews on YT. I have the hompow 3000 and I'm pretty happy with that. Started the wife's dead V6 with no problems.

500 peak amps isn't all that great for the price. You can get bigger battery packs from reputable brands for less.
