I watched a few video reviews and the most compelling thing to me is the mesh lid. This is the big difference between it and most other indoor grills. It allows steam to escape, which is better for grilling, but it also captures the majority of grease spatter, one of the main reasons I only do burgers outside. Some reviews stated it's not completely smokeless, but that may be due to not fully cleaning after use.
The lid and grill plates are removable and dishwasher safe, and even with handwashing, it's supposed to be very easy to clean. For an indoor grill, that's the most important thing other than the grilling performance itself.
It does seem to be rather limited in function, since it only grills, but if you're mainly looking for indoor grilling, it seems like a pretty cool product. It's not for me personally, but I have a friend that's probably going to get one.
By the way, I'm having a blast with the Ninja Woodfire I got from the Woot! deal. If they put it on special again, you should get one if you're into smoking/grilling, and gadgets.
That thing totally sucks not the same I think. Royal pain trying to clean it and it's not smokeless at all f what it says.
