Residential service plumber here. I purchased one of these a few years ago and just never found a use for it. Anything I can't remove with a basin wrench gets removed by either a Multi-tool with a metal blade or drilling out the nut with a drill bit and use a thin flat head screwdriver to pop out.

My biggest gripe with this is that I could never get it to consistently remove or tighten water supply lines to the faucet underneath the sink. The Ridgid basin wrench has worked wonders but this tool has been junk each time I've tried it.

Other people in the comments seem like it's helped them, so more power to them.

From Amazon reviews:
1.0 out of 5 stars Haven't found a single instance of use.

Professional plumber here. Thought I'd try this tool to limit the number of things bouncing around in the tool bag. Seemed like a really impressive tool; all of the functionality! I've spent quit a bit of effort in trying to find the usefulness of this tool. Every time I've tried to use it...it falls flat on it's face. There has only been one instance of use, a faucet mount nut on a delta faucet in a medical treatment room install. Installation of stops? Nope, it won't reach around the stop to the compression nut. 3 hole sink basket tool? Nope, spread of teeth aren't correct. Faucet stem nuts to mount under sink? Nope, not the right size or reach. Supply line nut? Nope, none of the arrangements fit snug enough to feel good about. Guess I could use it on toilet supply nuts, but who needs a tool to tighten those? Overall, I still like the idea presented here, I just haven't found a useful instance for this product. I really should have just spent the money on another Milwaukee spud wrench.

Actual retail price is $20, not $32. However, this is the lowest ever price, with only one sale getting anywhere close which was a year ago. Same price at Home Depot:

Like said above, basin wrench is usually better and you can get more torque.

Harbor freight has them for cheap

I changed out the faucet in my kitchen sink. There was no room to do anything. This tool was able to reach in and do what I needed it to do. I hate buying a tool for 1 purpose, but it would have been nearly impossible to replace my kitchen faucet without it. 10/10 wouldn't buy again because I only need 1 and it's doing a good, 1 time purpose job.

I literally just bought a basin wrench to replace a bathroom faucet. Reading comments in this thread suggest this probably isn't worth it.

I have this and a basin wrench - I'd say a basin wrench can probably do everything this can, but if this works its generally faster and easier to use vs. having to get grip again and again with the basin wrench at weird angles or with limited access.

Got a specific basin wrench model that's a favorite? Rather get a recommended one than buying blind.

I've done professional installations. A telescoping basin wrench is the way to go in my opinion. It costs less and works better.

My issue is that it never fit anything that I needed to tighten. Bought it again for a soap pump and no go, never got to use even one part of it.

Agree. Not a plumber but as a Remodeler that does a lot I've used it twice...

I replaced a good deal my twenty year old plumbing recently and this tool came in handy on multiple occasions. Thank goodness such a device exists. I don't remember the specific use where it was most helpful but it helped get me through the process. I don't review items often but this one was a blessing.
