I think I get the strategy behind giving away old games: they incentivize you to buy newer games 🤦. Playing old games end up feeling like a liability sometimes.

Battlefront 2 classic is the one to play, for anyone wondering about the Aspyr re-release that came out a couple months ago, it's not worth it as the multiplayer has been completely dead for a few weeks now, and according to steamdb there's more playing the original at any given time lol

It has always been for pc only and wasn't until last month when they gave fallout 76 on xbox also, from my experience

I don't have access to the Amazon prime account that I had linked to my EA account, I wanted to swap it to using my wife's, but apparently you can only link one Amazon prime account to an EA account for its lifetime. Ridiculous, but apparently I can't get the free games that are linked to EA.

Have they ever done a repeat? They gave out New Vegas on Gog during Nov 2022.

As old as it is, Battlefront II doesn't get the love it deserves IMO. They have constantly refreshed and updated this title long after they needed to, and it still looks, sounds and plays amazing.

I don't even play multiplayer and I love just messing around in the various SW 'play sets' I think it's a top three SW game of all time. Easily top five.
