I got one that was doa. Got an exchange, and it is basically a big toy RC. Imagine one of those crappy RCs from 5 below but huge. It controls poorly when it's not losing signal. I thought the steering actuator was broken and replaced it, it was just not turning every time I turned. It breaks as easy as one of them $5 RCs as well. Also none of the parts are standard so when they break it's just you rigging it together. If you already have Hart batteries and think you'll get $24 enjoyment out of it, go for it. But my advice is to just wait for the scy16101 to go on sale on AliExpress and buy that for a few bucks more.(It's sold under a bunch of names)

Fixing this Hart RC all the time made me realize I may as well get one with more standard parts and grabbed the brushless of the scy one and have loved it so much I bought a second.

Solder iron, 6 inch buffer, and hand vacuum are also $24.

Your can also get them slightly cheaper on the hart tools website for like $21, but shipping isn't free till $100. Didn't charge taxes

So the throttle is just on/off it sounds like? Bummer.
The throttle and steering are both variable. The steering doesn't always register though. There is a switch on the remote for fast or slow mode. But I wouldn't recommend it for inside... It is really big.

but at this price it's hard but to recommend it IF you already have batteries. if not for the price of this +batteries you can get a cheap generic hobby grade RC that is better in every way.

Chinese EV dealers scammed the ccp for the subsidies resulting in over-production.
Now the ccp has to rely on propaganda to sell their rusting stock overseas.

Here is a better idea: my kids have a 12v rideon Polaris slingshot two speed with remote control. I have gotten a $10 Ridgid battery adapter and wired directly on the car because I was tired of waiting for that car to charge. Now 12v car runs on 18v battery. It is like turbo charged. I have several batteries and they are mostly charged. It is like unlimited run time. I had more fun operating it via remote. It would do donuts in wet grass. kids love that it goes a bit faster and they can swap the battery when it dies.

Buy adapters on Amazon/eBay. I have some for Milwaukee 18v batteries.

But I have 20 AAA batteries. Do they work if I shove them in??
20/1.5 = 13.3 ...you'll only need 14! and to make a battery box. you'll get about 3 mins of run time haha

Hey what are your thoughts on the ones available at Amazon like this one? The one you mentioned is pretty cheap, i like it. Do u think the extra bucks for the Hyper Go versions are worthwhile?

I bought 2 of these years ago on another SD, at 75 each I think. 1 is still in the box, new. LOL.

However, the 1 i due use, has been awesome. I wish they would re-release the ryobi version, as thats what tools I actually have, however, its has been more than fun to play with, and fast. The gopro mount on the roll bar is fun, ive taken some cool video of it zipping around. Ive crashed it HARD many times, never broken anything. Frequently jumping off curbs, ramps, etc.

Its no hobby grade build it up rc car which ive done, but for 25 bucks, you cant beat it for sure. More than enough for any kid to have fun, or even get into trouble. in in my 40's, and have a blast zipping it around chasing cars through the neighborhood. IIRC it does about 20mph flat out.
