That is all I use tents for. Thanks for saving me some time.
Think Aspect 3 is intended for backpacking...

Any recommendations for a pack?

too much mesh with these tents when one gets above 8,000' when temps drop. Mesh is delicate too and the polyester floors let in the moisture. For hot summer camping, sure. This brand is not on the same tier as Marmot, Big Agnes, or North Face, but more like ALPS which has a good reputation for bang for the buck. Pics from Mineral King near Sequoia NP.
Dude has no clue but wants to mimic an expert in mountaineering here. You know that there is a tent line for different purposes? I like Marmot but MH is definitely (slightly) above depending on each product line. Not the same tier as North Face? … it's way above while NF went down hill over the past years.

Maybe our expert here should go full in with this base camp tent to stop whining:

And if I really need a tent for very high altitude mountaineering then I might get the Tango which was first introduced in 1995:

ahh, so triggered.
Called you out on your BS statement. I wouldn't call that "triggered" but more refuting your baseless claims w/ zero proof or added value to the deal. On top of that, saying this is not same tier is North Face pretty much discredited your whole statement.

In for a bridger 6... my parents have let us borrow their REI Kingdom 6 for the past 3 years, about time I give it back Big Grin I like the large vestibule of the bridger, and the fact it opens on the long side.

Camping newb here, would. Y'all recommend The Mineral King 3 for a couple and a dog? Looking for an easy setup and not have to buy a tent again for a long while since I'll be probably car camping with this tent.

What would be a good option for 40F+ bike packing for two?
A three person tent. More room to put your panniers if you take them off at night.

Got the mineral 3. Have gone camping at a national park on a 40 dollar tent from Amazon. Let's see how this one is.

I am looking for a good tent for my family of 4 and that Bridger 6 looks sweet but it's also enormous. Are there other good alternatives similarly priced that people recommend? We are a car camping family.

For car camping, it's probably a great option. I don't have it, but the pictures look like it's a simple tent setup.

Sam's club has a Member's Mark 10-Person Instant Cabin Tent for $200. Is that better than Bridger 6 Tent?
Bridger 6 is a higher quality tent. It is smaller than a 10 person tent. A 6 person will fit 4-5 nicely but will be tight for 6.

These are light duty shelters not designed to block wind or protect against hypothermia. They are fine for organized campgrounds and places where one can retreat to a car or civilization when extreme conditions arise suddenly. Won't keep you dry in driving rain. Your sleeping bag comment is a reflection of your level of knowledge and experience. Readers will be better served by a visit to R.E.I to determine what they actually need.
Dude, know your audience. These are not extreme expeditioning tents and bags. They are weekend car camping or overnight backcountry things for couples and families, which is probably 98% of us here.
