If I buy e.gift card by using my Discover CC, then this is qualified for 5% rewards, correct?

The walmart card is ending October 31st.. customers will get a Capital One Quicksilver card with no walmart benefits
Sounds great in theory, but I have the card and it's very annoying only being able to use it online, and then when you go online it only gives cash back if the seller is Walmart. Then they throw all sorts of 3rd party sellers in there. It makes shopping a chore. I'd take my 5% Amazon and Target card over Walmart's any day.
Discover merging with capital one probably made this possible but that relationship with Walmart is ending in October... so future walmart % off could be off the table going forward, time will tell
