FYI - they outsource trade-ins to another company. You get the trade-in box in a separate shipment.

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. If you don't reset device as instructed this may hurt the trade-in value. There is also no way to get your trade-in back if the 3rd party lowballs your trade-in.

I made this mistake with the recent iPad trade-in deal. I missed a reset step, and had messed up something on the trade-in form. In the end, I got $4 for my trade-in and couldn't get my device back…

TLDR; read, and follow instructions.

There is a checkbox that's automatically checked that states "Accept the new value if it changes after inspection (uncheck to get your device back without credit)"

You probably missed it, but you can indeed get your device back if they lowball your offer.

For anyone that qualifies, you can get an extra 10% off through id.me if you work for the govt or other qualifying service sectors. It stacks with this trade in and discount promo.

honestly, another reason for me to consider swapping is that my 7pro's battery has been crap as of late. I have to top up my battery mid-day or the phone won't last at all. A newer phone means a fresh battery and that's enough for me to justify the upgrade for about $150
Yes, my pro 7 battery is not crap out but, definitely wouldn't last all day unless I top it off a couple of times in a day, since I have a wireless charging stand spread out in my house I just put it on stand whenever I sit down.
But, for a $150 new phone and battery is a great deal.

$120 for the pixel 3, regardless of storage size.

This pricing is for 128GB. If you want more memory it will cost more.

128GB = $749
256GB = $809
512GB = $929
1TB = $1.149 (Out of Stock)

I was going to do it until I found I'd be downgrading my 512GB 7 Pro to 128GB 8 Pro.

Whatever makes you justify it, you go. But I find it unlikely that your battery is worn out after what, a year? And if it was, I wouldn't be buying another Pixel anyway.

After all these 7 Pro trade-in, refurbished Pixel 7 Pro on eBay will be $270 for Great condition.
That would be a better deal.

I agree; it's up to each person to make their own decisions. The Pixel 7 Pro has been out for 2 years, so battery quality depreciation is somewhat expected. That, and the 7Pro is unfortunately a huge sucker for overheating. For reference, when I used to navigate Las Vegas in rental cars this year for EDC, my Pixel 7 Pro constantly glitched and even refused operations claiming it was overheating - but my Samsung Flip 5 performed fine (thankfully I was smart enough to bring this spare phone). I'm not saying the Tensor G3 is any better, but my fingers are crossed in hopes that it isn't as terrible as the 7P's.

That being said, probably not everyone would probably run into frustrating scenarios like this and can justify the upgrade.

I've got a pristine Pixel 7 Pro (box and everything, barely used). Moved to Team iPhone. Would I be able to fetch more from:
  • Just selling the used Pixel 7 Pro on ebay or whatever OR
  • Trading it in for the 8 Pro, paying $249, and then selling that (e.g., will a new 8 Pro sell at >$300 premium over the used 7 Pro?)

You might find that the 8 overheats as well. It's a Tensor thing. I think both phones have the same modem. And all of this overheating is what is leading to premature battery issues.

If anybody has the older Google super fan code lying around, it still works on top of this promotion as well. Although by now we all know how useless that code is at this point, just sharing in case it helps anyone.
A while ago I used someone's super fan code and I think it promised to give me a $100 credit of some sort for using it, but it never did... Any ideas? I don't recall the exact details. I can't remember if it was supposed to give me a $100 google credit, or what
