No, this is an 85 dollar phone that works with any carrier out of the box, unlike your 40 dollar Samsung. And it's a better piece of hardware than the A14.

Junk or not has nothing to do with Android 12 - which is totally fine. I've watched several YT reviews about this model. The phone comes with a 18W power brick and a screen protector. No free case. My impression after watching the reviews is that the camera is weak (for taking photos and videos); the sound is weak (a single speaker at bottom); and the screen looks washed out. The CPU is about 2018-2019 level. Don't know if the call signal is strong or weak. That's about all the potential bad aspects in my book. Someone may add no wireless charging, and no waterproofing. I don't care about these two. Now, you don't need me to tell the good things of the phone. In the end, I'll pass because I need a good camera and good sound.
