I think it has always been 24 months. The Sapphires I believe are 48 months.
You have to earn the 125k points in the same calendar year to get the companion pass. Best practice for companion pass is to get the Biz around Nov, complete your spend dec so your bonus points post in Jan. Also get the personal in Dec and complete your spend so your bonus posts in Jan. This way you get to keep the pass for a full 24 months.

After first year, would convert the card to non-fee card from second year. Would pay off, so APR or balance transfers doesnt matter.
Credit is good (750+), no cc applied in last 24 months.
Wife was suggesting Amex Platinum, I was thinking Capital one venture X. Either one of them and another card and be good. And I see this. Wasnt sure which is best. We may keep in account of walmart+, Netflix, Prime if thats added perks. Uber, hotels arent needed. Travel credit for flights are great.
Is this a best sign up bonus on this card? I dont mind paying annual fee, just need a big signup bonus.
Well I just got a response back from my application and I actually got denied! I've got very good-excellent credit depending on which version of these things you look at and I *never* get denied, so quite shocked and kinda bummed. Been wading through and waiting out these offers for something this big for quite a while now.

Is there a phone to call on the denial? Sometimes they just want to verify it's really you. Call
I see it's active when I go the chase although it says it expired yesterday the 26th. My wife closed her account on the 25th then applied yesterday and was told that she couldn't until the closure showed up on her credit report. If she closes her account and waits a week, any idea if this offer will still be available? If not, when will the next offer like this be available. Thanks!

The 85K offer does appear to have expired at the end of yesterday. I have no idea when it'll show up again. Sorry you folks missed this promotion.
I just looked at the Chase site, and it's 50K for the Personal cards, but the Business cards now have an extra 60K bonus for spending a total of $15K in nine months. That's in addition to the base 60K for $3K spend in 3 months, for a total of 120,000 miles.
If you're looking to maximize your Companion pass, it sounds like mid-September is a good time to sign up. (I guess if you time it right, and get your bonuses in Jan of 2025, the pass will be good through 2026. But, it's been a long time since I've had a companion pass, and things may have changed.)
