Learn to play faster. There are multiple mode of play: casual (workout, practice, etc..) and tournament play. In casual mode, you shouldn't worry too much about the total/final score but simply making the shot you want to make and learn from it.

I've seen many people try to fit in 9 holes before work in the morning. I've seen average early tee-time players complete a hole around 7-8 minutes, which would be around 2-to-2.5 hours to complete. There are even guys who go out there running with their push cart for morning workout that finish in 1-to-1.5 hours. When your tee-time is so early that they haven't even clean the dew on the green, you don't really need to spend too much time putting.
The pushback is at the pro shop before the round. I walk 18 in 3.25 hrs. One ball, cursory search for misfires and drop. That said think I'll try this out. Age is catching up to me for sure.

Yeah, I live in Minnesota and there's this thing called "The Public Country Club" https://www.thepubliccc.com/ that allow you to have unlimited golf at hundreds of courses (https://www.thepubliccc.com/courses) for a small monthly fee ($65/month). Most of these courses are public courses and their average 18 holes rating is 15 minutes per hole = 4.5 hours.

Because of PCC, most of us members basically play every day and have low handicap. Therefore, there's no lose ball issue. If you're not picky with which ball you play like me, most of the time, I finish 18 with more balls than I start with. Just pick up balls along the way. Many of us even donate our balls we find back to the Public Course, which they give to Junior Golfers or sell them at the counter to make extra money for the staffs.

Funny thing, there's this youtube review video where the guy actually jumped on the cart and it is powerful enough to move him on it. He's a pretty big guy too.

But yeah, you have many different choices these day where you can two or even four wheels scooter for less. But then we office worker or older people buy these things for the exercise and scooter defeat that purpose. That stress on your back from carrying the bag isn't too good. I mostly use this to play early in the morning because I sometime play 36 holes and usually carry a different/lighter bag for the 2nd or evening round.

Absolutely get this <or another equal value competitor>

I play multiple days a week and am coming off a 5th back surgery. Carrying is a non-option for me. But my electric push cart allows me to walk again and enjoy the game at a much better pace. <I can easily keep up with a two-sum in a cart> . I feel better not having to crawl into and out of cart and bouncing all over the place. I can stay loose walking.

My CC has "Hills" in it's title for a reason so I have a cart with a wider wheel base and 5th wheel for hills.

You'll save money on Cart rental. For me I was ahead in my first season.

Just make sure the first time you use it isn't a tournament. Takes some thought at first. But after 2 1/2 years its just part of the routine. The follow feature on some models is over rated if you ask me.
Fellow 5x back surgery here and I also have one of these. I highly recommend it if you have hills or if the cost is not an issue. More and more people at my club are ditching their push carts and getting these as you still get great exercise but don't struggle one strenuous parts of the course. With how hot it's getting, definitely worth the convenience.

Small world - I was a PCC member for a year. Settled back to just one course now.

Thanks! Will wait for the refurb sale later this year. I have played with people that have the follow mode and it seems like more of an issue than a feature, but some swear by it.
I purchased the Stewart Q follow during the off season. I've played about 20 rounds with it to date.

Is it "worth" the extra money for it, well that's your call for sure but I absolutely love the follow mode. I don't use it 100% of the time as there are times it makes more sense to keep the cart in front of me with me manually steering it instead of remote, and I use the remote very frequently to direct it around greens or if I'm walking ahead for yardage or something. Overall the majority of the usefulness of a motorized cart is accomplished with something like this MGI, but I'd spend the extra money all over again to keep the follow mode, it's literally the best round of golf next to having a caddy.

Seems like adding in the drone tech that follows the subject with object avoidance is when this becomes truly useful.

For that price and no follow feature? Golf is expensive.
You're not even counting the country club initiation dues, homie…

If you play golf every week and use push the cart, this is worth getting. It pays for itself after a year.

Sadly, my local course charges the same for 18 with or without a cart. If I were to join a country club though, this would come in handy, as the initiation fee and monthly dues do not include a cart. I would like to start walking though, just not sure if I can justify paying this right now since there is no financial incentive at my current course.
