(Since there are no decent sales on easyStores. Fortunately I did grab a couple of the 18TBs for $200 back when. It could be quite a while before the 22TBs reach a comparable price, ~$250.)
(I put the easyStores on top of case fans (120 or 140 mm on threaded spacers/standoffs) blowing up.)
As such I would put these in Orico docks I have:
https://www.newegg.com/orico-6619...1DS5B072
and
https://www.newegg.com/orico-6619...1DS28Y20
Does anybody know off the top of their heads if these docks present 3.3V on pin 3? If so, the drives won't work.
(To save me from having to probe the docks with a multimeter.)
(One thing I don't like about these deals with the SMART data wiped, it is like buying a used car with the odometer rolled back to zero and the CARFAX/VIN data deleted. What are they trying to hide? If the drive has 50,000 hours on it, so be it.)

Every report I've seen with these 14TB WD drives has indicated that smart data was not erased, and that aligns with my own experience. Also none of these drives have 50,000 hours, that's nearly 6 years. More typical is 25-30k hours.
Edit: I see now that the listing has an image that does say 5-6 years of use. Unsure if that's because these are a different batch of drives or just because that's a boilerplate image they use for used hard drive sales. It's definitely not what people were reporting seeing from the SMART data in previous 14TB HC530 sales.

And yes the smart isn't wiped.

Newegg sucks and should be avoided.

Server parts deals and goharddrive are long time reliable sources.
Unless you are dealing with high scam rate motherboards/video cards online retailers are mostly fine.

Newegg is a shit company though who will gladly support shitty sellers and literal scammers, and many people do not want to support a company like that in any way. It's not "confirmation bias" when I've seen what their sellers do myself, and what Newegg has done to protect them.
