Can also run off the car 12V (lighter) connection in case you don't have a battery on hand when you need it.

This thing is amazing, used it several times and will pump up any tire and barely uses any battery power. Just set the dial to the number you want and it will pump it up and then stop when done.

Good tool and worth the money if you are already team orange and have batteries. The gauge built in is not very accurate on mine, so cannot rely on that part.

Yeah, the chuck is weird and there's a learning curve to using it, but once you get it, it works great and there really isn't a need to buy anything additional.

We use an adapter and DeWalt 20 volt batteries (team Yellow)

Any deals on batteries or a battery would love to have a tool like this but I don't have any rigid tool/battery
For batteries/charger alone, the $79 bundle that gets posted every so often is one of the better values.

The best price ever on this tool is when DTO had a sale on the "blem" with free shipping; ~$30 delivered, early in 2023.

When first introduced [toolguyd.com] a few years ago, HD's sale price at the time was $39.

But, Ridgid blems at DTO have dried up, and as with most things, price have crept up, so HD's sale price has gone from $39 to $49, to $59.

The gauge on mine is off, and too optimistic, so I don't use the Auto setting, but even if it was closer to being spot on, I'd still verify with a different trusted gauge.

And yes, the chuck can be finicky, but I've found that when it doesn't latch, rotating the hose to a different clock position relative to the stem usually allows it to engage and lock properly.

It also has a five-minute duty cycle, so on the rarer occasion, inflating items with very large volumes may run into that constraint.

But overall, it's a good tool, that does qualify for the LSA program, as long as it is purchased from an authorized retailer, effectively meaning only HD now.

Be aware that chasing cheap Ridgid tools from third-party sellers takes them out of the running for the LSA, as well as the "reconditioned" tools at DTO, which have 1-year warranties.

In the past, DTO blems qualified for the LSA, and secretly being new tools, meant that it was the best, cheapest option for buying Ridgid, before that door closed.

Of the fourteen (14) Ridgid tools that I own, this is my least favorite. I would never pay $59 for this thing ... knowing what I know. The tool is loud and not very accurate. The air connector is very difficult to connect to the tire/ schrader valve. It takes too long to top off.

i found the best way to use it is to twist while you insert and when you feel it is snug enough then you push the latch forward for a secure fit. yes it is very loud but it is accurate if it is inserted correctly, otherwise it will be way way off. among all battery operated ones i used, this is the fastest one. good luck.

Use it for motorcycles, car, tractor, trailer... I like the connector. Pay attention to how it goes on and it works very well.

Just bought this at my local Direct Tools Outlet for $40 (blemish, aka brand new, not refurb). They had 50% off in-store this weekend. DTO also had the refurb for $35, but for $5, I'm taking the LSA.

Best inflator I've ever owned. I had a Ryobi inflator but it just slowly stopped working took forever and the dial was off by 7psi. Other 12v inflators took forever.

Side note, I have all Ridgid 18v tools because of the warranty. I also have a Ryobi trimmer. They make adapters for Ridgid to Ryobi. My trimmer came with the cutest batter that maybe lasted a total of 15 trimming minutes. The Ridgid battery is a 4ah and lasts me my whole lawn and part of the neighbor's.

I installed this on mine and solved the chuck (air connector) issue.

It's super slow connected to 12v. Works in a pinch, but not recommended

I use this for a Jeep refilling from 20# back to 37# very regularly. Cary 2 and think it's easy compared to air hoses.

Interesting, I use this tool regularly and have had none of these issues. My child can operate it and connect it to tire valves without issue. The gauge isn't perfect, but I find when I let go of the trigger and let it 'rest' for a second the number drops to the correct PSI value that is close to a match with my standalone gauges.

For a portable cordless inflator the sound is no louder than other similar tools (obviously it's loud), and the rate of inflation is actually quite good. It will of course take a long time to fill a large tire especially if it's greatly deflated, but again this is a small portable unit, it should not be expected to compete with a full sized air compressor.

Use battery adapter. I have this inflator and I use Milwaukee battery with it.
