paid 50 more for this and im pretty happy overall. wish it had a camera that supported windows hello, or a fingerprint reader, but thats about the only thing that bothers me. going to a laptop keyboard is a bit of a challenge for gaming, but love that it has the number pad.

It's weird to see a negative deal score on something that is a deal but then no one comments on why they gave it a negative rating.....

Thats still no reason to give a posted deal a negative rating. But it's of course people will be people. It's probably the same type of people that'll say some other laptop deal is better but it's a lower tier product that performs worse and thats why it's hundreds of dollars less.

What is the noise profile on these?
Would work well as a HTPC / game console?
Mini PCs seem better for this app but I'd like to also use it as a portable rig.

Probably because this is a MEH "Deal" at best if you absolutely positively have to have this notebook today.

Comparing an in store only deal to an online deal? The majority of states do not have a Microcenter (yes, I counted). My state doesn't have a Microcenter, so this would be considered a deal to me and is available to everyone. In my case, a "deal" is still better than no deal.
