Amex says that eBay represents less than 0.2% of their Total network volume (which is total transaction swiped through Amex network)

Amex is basically saying eBay is not worth their time to give favorable rates like big retailers like Target, etc

Depends on the card. My freedom got that, sapphire preferred got the 5%
I got 4%/$8, my wife got 5%/$10, both freedom cards. I'm an occasional ebay purchaser, she never does.

If you don't have a chase card like myself, you can always do target redcard to take 5% off ebay gift cards.

That sucks. Probably because Amex has the best consumer protections and is the best payment method when purchasing something risky online.

It is sad eBay dumped american express. American express blue cash has always 3% cash back.

Really? Because I gotta say I have been using Paypal a long long time and I have not yet seen a situation where I couldn't use some of my payment methods within my Paypal. Wonder how eBay will pull that off? Not that it matters since I have no plans to use Amex on eBay.
