Really? Because I gotta say I have been using Paypal a long long time and I have not yet seen a situation where I couldn't use some of my payment methods within my Paypal. Wonder how eBay will pull that off? Not that it matters since I have no plans to use Amex on eBay.

Amex is basically saying eBay is not worth their time to give favorable rates like big retailers like Target, etc

That sucks. Probably because Amex has the best consumer protections and is the best payment method when purchasing something risky online.
