Hatchets and axes are often sold dull, and you have to sharpen them yourself the first time.

Image shows garden shears + loppers but I believe this is the price for loppers on their own

This may be worth it at this price, but I haven't been impressed with the quality or design of Fiskars garden tools. I have a couple pairs of pruning shears and the hedge trimmers and they are all junk with dull blades and cheap components. I have a friend with the Fiskars hatchet and the blade is a joke with the bluntest edge I've ever seen. It literally bounces off anything you try to cut with it.

i absolutely love my 15" loppers. perfect for carrying around. i REALLY wish someone at fiskars(or other decent brand) would make this same size lopper in a bypass model.

completely disagree. i have no less than 6 of their tools, many of which get beat to hell, and they have all been great. you do realize that blades need to be sharpened, yes?

I have mixed feelings about this lopper. While it's worked well for the couple times I've used it, but it feels cheap. The handles are lighter plastic and just don't inspire confidence about longevity. I guess they'll be good while they last, but I'll probably be careful with them to avoid overstressing the material.

This lopper is AMAZING! I needed something for backpacking an unmaintained trail in the Trinity Alps several years ago and this lopper was the star of the bunch in forging our way through overgrown shrubs/trees. Everyone else in my group planned to get one and I even bought a second one as a backup. It's incredibly light and strong.

Love these lopers, the gear makes the power transfer so easy. The 24" traditional, stays in the garage

I got this combo from Costco a few years ago and the lopper feels cheap but it's honestly a beast, it surprised me how well it works even that it's mostly plastic. I also have a larger Corona lopper that's also great but it's bulkier so the Fiskars is perfect for smaller stuff.

I just trimmed my trees today with this. Light weight and very powerful for its size. Not sure about longevity yet but I like better than my larger metal ones.

Bought similar one at Costco as a package with scissors but this piece fell apart after a few cuts, nut fell off and not screwing back in place. I thought this manufacturer is supposed to be decent quality but I did not have a good experience with this.
