What GPU do u have or r u planning on getting? As long as ur not planning on upgrading and this cpu will not bottleneck ur GPU and u need this upgrade for performance go for it.

Price will continue to decline very slowly, it'll be around $300 next year.

Generally with tech items, if you don't need it now, don't buy it. There will always be better versions/deals later.

Generally with tech items, if you don't need it now, don't buy it. There will always be better versions/deals later.
Tbh, I was waiting on the X3D series to go on sale. Currently, I don't have any gaming PC so I'm building one depending on good deals. Also, brand new generations would be more $$ so I'm okay to settle with the older generations to future proof it for atleast 5 years.

I would wait a bit for the 9000 series to become available. If the benchmarks show that's it's keeping up with the 7800x3d, it'll force the 7000 series prices to drop further. Also, unless you really need more than 8 cores, the 7800x3d is faster for most games as the 2nd CCD on the 7900x3d/7950x3d sometimes messes up the windows scheduler.
EDIT Current AMD motherboards should also drop in price with the advent of the new boards that are being released with the 9000 series.

It depends how badly you want it now. Personally, I would wait until reviews for 9000 series hit, probably sometime next month. If I had some kind of desperate need for a new CPU (e.g. the old one broke), then maybe I would pull the trigger on something like this.
I don't think that if you hold off on this deal that you won't see the same price again soon. The price of 7000-series processors will continue to march down.
It's also worth mentioning that the 7800X3D is really better than the 7900X3D or 7950X3D for gaming[techspot.com]. Basically, the short story is that the lower core count on the 7800X3D provides more room for the cores to clock higher. Gaming doesn't really take advantage of the higher core counts on the more expensive processors. I think that's why we've seen some big clearance deals on the 7900X3D and 7950X3D, because savvy buyers know that they're not worth the sticker price when the 7800X3D exists.

NONE, its actually worse. AMD messed up and only 6 cores have access to the 3D V-Cache and the 7800X3D and 7950X3D have 8 cores that can access the cache.
