I think ordering 2 phones at a time would be better, making the total $75 before tax.

I guess it could be unlocked 60 days after activation, just like the iPhone SE3 from last Black Friday.

Like coachclass above, I did remove/disable some bloadware after I activated the phone.

My phone was supposed to be unlocked yesterday 8/25. I had ported the number out the last day of the first month.
I turned it on today - it was network locked.
I called the number in the text response to UNLOCK 888-442-5102. Entered my number for callback and "unlock department" called back. They went through verification email with me. Told me that the unlock status is confirmed. Told to leave the Straight Talk SIM card in the phone (which it was), turn the phone off, on and then wait 2 hours.
It has now been 2 hours. I tried to reboot and also go in and out of airplane mode. Phone is still network locked.

I called them again about 6 hours after the first call. The agent confirmed the phone with this IMEI is unlocked by them. "there is nothing we can do, try to call Motorola." Was quite reluctant to stay on the line with me.
I disabled mobile services from installing bloatware apps (com.dti.tracfone) both of mine still unlocked automatically early on 13th with 8/15 unlock date. But couldn't disable/remove device pulse app through ADB says Failure: package is non-disable. Unlocking issue appears to be on tracfone end for other people.

com.motorola.tracfone.rsu looks to be tracfone app for remote unlock

This is a known and much discussed issue. See this thread for more imformation.
I'm having problems myself to unlock the device after now 66 days. I called the unlock department 3 times already, did everything they said and also factory reset the device. It still comes up as locked if I put in another Sim / esim. They told me to call Motorola. Another waist of time because the told me, they don't unlock carrier devices and can't help me. No I filed the complain with the FCC. This is my last hope. Unfortunately no one reported back if they got their device finally unlocked. Please provide feedback.

Can you please provide steps on how you were able to do that?

I'm reaching out in frustration, hoping someone can assist me. I purchased a Moto G Power 5G 2024 and activated it on Straight Talk. After following all the guidelines, including the required 60-day wait, I confirmed that the phone is eligible for unlocking. However, I now find myself trapped in an endless cycle of blame between Straight Talk and Motorola, with no resolution in sight.

The Straight Talk unlocking department insists that the phone should unlock automatically, but it hasn't. When I insert a SIM card from another carrier, the phone displays "network locked." Dialing #TFUNLOCK# only results in the message "device is sim locked" without providing any unlocking options.

Straight Talk claims this is a device issue and refers me to Motorola support, while Motorola support redirects me back to Straight Talk's unlocking department. I've factory reset the device twice and restarted it more than 10 times, yet the issue persists. I'm completely stuck and just want to unlock my phone!

I have registered a complaint with FCC but not sure how that will help to resolve my issue.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does anyone have any advice on how to resolve it?
Did you purchase directly from straight talk ?

Same here. I don't know why some people have no issues unlocking and others can't get unlocked. I also complained to FCC and StraightTalk called me back, just to tell me they don't have a solution.

ST called me again about my FCC complaint. Just said they 'escalated to the manufacturer' and it's a known issue with this phone. lol

I am in the same boat!

Are you supposed to get an email after calling TF?

If you have made a complaint with FCC, you will get a call from TF. I have received 3 calls so far from them and they are giving 72 hours every time. Still no resolution.

Be patient. In the other forum, several people already confirmed that their phones were unlocked today after waiting for many days. Looks like ST figured it out.

Thank you.

I called ST early this morning. Standard answer: reboot phone, keep it connected to wifi and wait for 5-6 hours. I believe that is standard answer from CS. Will wait.

One of the 2 moto g power shows unlocked now. Other one shows locked.

I didn't test with a sim or factory reset yet.
Any suggestions for cheap physical sim I can use to check it?

You didn't enter a code or anything - it unlocked on its own through WiFi connection?
