My phone was supposed to be unlocked yesterday 8/25. I had ported the number out the last day of the first month.
I turned it on today - it was network locked.
I called the number in the text response to UNLOCK 888-442-5102. Entered my number for callback and "unlock department" called back. They went through verification email with me. Told me that the unlock status is confirmed. Told to leave the Straight Talk SIM card in the phone (which it was), turn the phone off, on and then wait 2 hours.
It has now been 2 hours. I tried to reboot and also go in and out of airplane mode. Phone is still network locked.
I called them again about 6 hours after the first call. The agent confirmed the phone with this IMEI is unlocked by them. "there is nothing we can do, try to call Motorola." Was quite reluctant to stay on the line with me.

The Straight Talk unlocking department insists that the phone should unlock automatically, but it hasn't. When I insert a SIM card from another carrier, the phone displays "network locked." Dialing #TFUNLOCK# only results in the message "device is sim locked" without providing any unlocking options.
Straight Talk claims this is a device issue and refers me to Motorola support, while Motorola support redirects me back to Straight Talk's unlocking department. I've factory reset the device twice and restarted it more than 10 times, yet the issue persists. I'm completely stuck and just want to unlock my phone!
I have registered a complaint with FCC but not sure how that will help to resolve my issue.
Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does anyone have any advice on how to resolve it?

Are you supposed to get an email after calling TF?

ST with unlocking issues!
I called ST early this morning. Standard answer: reboot phone, keep it connected to wifi and wait for 5-6 hours. I believe that is standard answer from CS. Will wait.
I didn't test with a sim or factory reset yet.
Any suggestions for cheap physical sim I can use to check it?
