If you're not a fan of the aspect ratio, don't buy this. There are tons of 4:3 and 16:9 (and some 3:2) retro emulation handhelds that you can go buy. This is a niche product for people who appreciate a 1:1 screen.

Personally, I really enjoy my RGB30 which has a 1:1 screen and is great for GB/GBC (10:9), SNES, NES, and Genesis (in 8:7 display mode), and PICO-8 (1:1).

This could be a good buy for people who want a higher-end version of that. I personally won't be getting this because I don't want Android for emulating those systems and I'm not a fan of the color schemes they chose, but there's definitely a clear purpose for this handheld.

This looks awesome & I want it. I should buy it so it can sit with the other 3 awesome systems I don't play because I forgot I grew up & have too many other things to do!!!!

Can't wait for the next iteration. I have a Steam Deck that I hate worse than almost any other purchase I've ever made (I've played maybe a minute on it; I'm just too stupid to get control schemes set up correctly for emulation), and a Retroid Pocket 3+ that I love but won't play 3DS and PS2/GC/Saturn games. I should probably sell them both and buy a RP4+ but I hate buying and selling electronics used.

Can you limit battery charge to 80% or around that to prolong lifespan?

How is this for longevity? Do you think these devices last? I have a Steam Deck that I barely used so battery drained frequent without use and I got that black screen of death that it seems common when trying to charge your Steam Deck when its fully drained and now can only used while usb-c docked...

How is higher end emulation like ps2?
How is it higher end android gaming like Diablo Immortal, Fortnite, Genshin etc...? Does every game play on that 720x720 resolution?

EDIT: yah looks like price has gone up...now $166 so might not get now.

At that point you can just get a Retroid Pocket 4 or Odin Lite, unless you just prefer this compact form factor.

I'd prefer a 4:3 aspect ratio for PS2 and Gamecube myself.

And again. Also this seller is non-responsive on ebay and they will mark something as "shipped" almost immediately then turn around 2 weeks later to cancel the order and day say it was sold out. Total dirtbags.
