The ones you linked are competition blend which is usually $10-15 for a 40lb bag of mixed wood pellets. The single wood pellets are more expensive and come in smaller bags, usually 20lb for $10-12. So while this isn't a smoking deal it is a bigger bag of pellets for a couple bucks cheaper and if you have an Amazon visa you can get the 5% back too.

Can find 40# bags of pellets for less than $15 all day long. Not a good deal.

This is a blend as well. Hickory and Oak. Competition blend likely is something similar to this but with a maple or cherry included as well. If you have no big retailers around you and amazon is the only option I guess I could agree with your statement but Walmart, Lowes, Menards, Home Depot, Costco, Sam's etc. all have 40# bags for less than $15 all day long not on sale so struggling to see how a bag for $21 could ever be considered a deal.
