Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

Will do, want to see how it compares to 2023 Moto Stylus (from Metro deal) that I'm using on TF now.
Specs wise, they're quite similar. https://www.gsmarena.com/compare....one2=12867 The Metro G Stylus 2023 has eSIM. Don't know if the ST G Power 2024 has eSIM.

Performance wise, the Processor of the ST Power is slightly faster than the Metro G Stylus. Probably not noticeable with non-game use. https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-com...nsity-7020

Not worthy of a thread of its own but the Straight Talk Google Pixel 6A is 149 at Walmart (VIPoutlet) https://www.walmart.com/ip/Straig...2092871893 [walmart.com]
That's being sold by a 3rd-party seller (not Walmart), with a 75% positive feedback, if that makes any difference to someone.

I think this will be a 4GB RAM model. Cricket wireless sells a 4GB version of this. I think all MVNO selling this at a discount are doing the 4GB one.

As others have mentioned that's the regular "Moto G 2024" -- Cricket also sells the "Moto G Power 2024"

Questions/Answers shows 8gb ram from people who bought Power 2024:

Back in stock, grabbed 2 of them. Keep one and sell one, should be around free for a new phone. Goodbye to the Moto G6

- Buy phone and activate with 1mo service
- Don't pay for 2nd mo and let the phone sit (or use as wifi device if you want)
- Wait 60-61 days from activation date for the phone to unlock then use it on any carrier you want
Can I buy the phone and not activating it? I just want to use it as Wi-Fi devices. Thanks

Can I just buy the phone without activating it but use it as a device with Wi-Fi to access some apps? Thanks

Walmart stores require activation -- online order you don't have to activate and could use as a wifi device

You're forced to pay for 1mo service so might as well activate it (get new number and don't pay for 2nd mo) so the phone unlocks in 60 days to use on other carriers -- after that it'll be easier to use as backup/sell/give away in the future if you need to

Auto renew gave no discount when buying 2 phones. Anyone else seeing that?

Yes, I was able to score two phones/plans for $75 + tax, WITHOUT doing auto-pay. Even slicker by a few bucks.

Please do and would like to hear your thoughts on the phone. Ordered mine yesterday. Thanks
This phone isn't activating on TF, first one I've tried that wouldn't - might be because it's so new or TF has changed policy, no way to know. First off there are way too many crap apps on this model I had to uninstall over 12 and I also attempted to turn off (can't uninstall) Device Pulse (I consider it spyware but that's just my opinion) - on one page during setup it shows "Visable Services" and "Visable by Verizon" so Verizon is likely buying tons of these and just using appropriate Sim for each branded phone. Model number is XT2415V so likely will be considered a Verizon model instead of ST/TF/TbyV (which might make it more accepted by other network providers after unlocking).

It definitely has 8gb ram for the people questioning it.

And first thing after setup I recommend going to Settings/sound/power on sound and turn off that horrible "hello Moto" notification - I'd forgotten how obnoxious it is.
Volume seems loud, I've turned it down twice. Wireless charging seems to work well.

Finally got everything updated & installed so will now play around a bit, so far feels like my 2023 Stylus with a little better screen and maybe a little faster but its really too soon to tell for sure.

Does it have Network Unlock App? can also try typing in #83865625# to see if it asks for unlock code if not its remote unlock

text unlock once activated to 611611 see what it says

Sim is inside phone when you get it.
