Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

So I just had to find out. So I put an active freedompop GSMA sim into the phone and voila, no problem Shows GSMA and I have a 5G signal.

Soo... compatibility check not to be trusted. oh and mine was born on 7-23-23

If a phone is compatible with AT&T hardware-wise, it will work with a swapped-in active AT&T/GSMA SIM. The compatibility check may be unreliable, but if the phone's IMEI passed the AT&T IMEI Check then you can legitimately activate it with AT&T. Similar to people swapping in an active Visible SIM to a phone with compatible hardware but doesn't pass Visible check. Sometimes (like in the case of SD member zapjb), Visible shuts down service after a short time when they detected the SIM-swap.

In my case the compatibility check failed. It should activate with an AT&T sim without a problem. It seems maybe the earlier serial numbers didn't make it to the checker, for whatever reason.

Where did you buy your XT2315-1 ?

The IMEI of my Metro Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) - model number XT2315-1 on the box - passed AT&T IMEI Check, showing CONTINUE meaning I can proceed with buying a BYOP AT&T SIM.
Both my Metro Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 IMEIs failed the ATT checker. Sold them. Looking for the white elephant phone (on a deal like this) that'll work on all 3 carriers & most all MVNOs.

I don't know if it's still available but the Nord N30 that I bought from Metro for $20 + $40 plan last July is Compatible with quite a few providers. I checked its IMEI with the following providers. I use it as my "couch phone" and media device (because it's too big to carry) and it works great, has 128GB storage, 8GB RAM, 1080p 120Hz screen, and its Oxygen OS gets regular updates to match Android 14.

* Verizon: compatible.
* Cricket : compatible.
* Qlink: compatible.
* Visible: compatible.
* AT&T: compatible.
* T-mobile: compatible.

looks like the att "Database" doesn't have Moto G Power 5G 2024 says IMEI not found in red letters in background so defaults to Incompatible device

it thinks unlocked models IMEI and Cricket Model IMEI is Stylus 5G 2024
At&t updates their whitelist every 3-6 months. The latest one is Feb24. Looking at the latest whitelist they have Zero- 2024 Motos (G, G Stylus, G Power) on the list even though they are selling the 2024 G Stylus. I would guess these would be on the next white list that should be release this month or next.

Metro now requires 365 days until they unlock. Its just too long for most of us unless they threw in some sweet annual service deal like Mint did with the Pixel 7 Pro last year.

Yes, hardware-wise all the versions are identical, but AT&T has a nasty habit of excluding the versions sold by their competitors.
Does that means XT2415V will not work for mvno like cricket, mint after unlocked?

If your phone was shipped by CEVA SALES, they're a phone distributor located in Plainfield, Indiana, about 120 miles from Louisville, KY. Louisville is a major hub for UPS.
