Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

That's just generic phone info doesn't say whether it's accepted for your network. Sorry no way to know.

My two phones arrived today. Can't complain for the price. But either Verizon is really limiting speeds for Straight Talk customers or the 5g modem sucks. Only getting around 20mbps down and 5 mbps up on both phones.

As a comparison my roommate is getting almost 500 mbps down on his iPhone which is on real Verizon. We also have Verizon 5G home internet and that is also reaching the 300 mbps down speed limit. So not a tower or congestion issue.

Since it uses a MediaTek chip, it is likely to be a MediaTek cell modem.
There are almost all LTE and 5G bands, so is the problem a MediaTek cell modem?

iPhone uses Qualcomm modem

The issue is Verizon and the Tracfone Moto 5G Power 2024 not including mmwave bands. When it's unlocked if you switch to T-mobile, Your speeds would be at least 700mbps down. The reason, Tmobile doesn't rely on the mmwave bands that are exclusive to Verizon branded phones. Tracfone is the trailer park edition. The phone is essentially 4G LTE with a 5G symbol. The max speeds in an empty network at night would be 120-150mbps down and probably 20mpbs up.

Verizon post paid phones are the branded phones that should have all the bands in 2024. They do produce some insane download speeds but the cost is too much to make it worth it.

I am basing this on my own personal experience with a Moto 5G Stylus 2021. The newer phones should be faster but the omission of the mmwave bands hold 5G performance back to LTE speeds.

I am certain the phone is missing some high end T-mobile bands but T-mobile mid band produces good download speeds. That's why Tmobile wins the fastest 5G speed tests. If someone has a Samsung S24 with mmwave and Verizon branded. They would have some crazy fast speeds.

Metro now requires 365 days until they unlock. Its just too long for most of us unless they threw in some sweet annual service deal like Mint did with the Pixel 7 Pro last year.
Do they require 365 days for device activates in Dec before this new rule started. I am hoping my phone will unlock at end of June as per old policy. Any insight will be helpful.

The IMEI Swap devices on the FreeUp page says IMEI isn't compatible with my Metro Stylus 23' that was unlocked in March. OP I replied to said they ATT update their allow devices every 6 months and the last list updated was in Feb. So I'll check back in July and hopefully, my devices will be added to their allowed list.

ATT is gatekeeping which I had no clue that they did since it works fine on my Tmobile sim card.
I was worried about my Metro Galaxy S21FE not working on At&t because it's not on their White List. After waiting 6 months for it to unlock it works just fine on both At&t and Freeup.
