Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

Do they require 365 days for device activates in Dec before this new rule started.
The Metro 365-day wait applies only to devices activated on or after 5/8/24. That's when the new policy was posted on Metro Unlocking site.

I'm sure it's an ok phone lol. Moto dues just fine usually.
OLED isn't worth the eye strain. Idk why so few people realize how much it can strain the eyes. It's not a negative point that it's LCD on this phone. Making that a negative in reviews is kind of lame. Put this in someone's hand and I guarantee most people wouldn't care or notice. They'd look at a picture or short video on it and probably never care or know it was LCD and go on with their day.

Only time I'm not too thrilled about is mediatek chip isn't great. I'm grateful there's a model with LCD.
Guess the other nitpick one could say is it won't get more than 1 os update but it's a decent compromise to have 3yrs of security updates. Other than that I look forward to having it ready to use someday. Probably still keep the 2022 stylus 5g going for a bit longer.
Reading this gave me more eye strain than an OLED display

Motorola has all the bands for carriers. If AT&T gate keeps. That is not a Motorola issue, that is AT&T picking and choosing which phones should work. When the phone is unlocked, pop in a AT&T sim and see what happens. It may work fine.
Agreed. Received my phone yesterday when I check this new phone on cricket it tells ineligible but i doubt the accuracy of IMEI checker... This Moto g power has all the bands needed across the board it should works for any mvno.. unless like you said att being shitty add competitor device that end with V or DL whatever on their blacklist..that said, chances are slim though.... Really have to pop a physical sim can try out..

Any one ever try unlocked older model TracFone or ST with att network?

I think that's because Metro didn't go back and update the firmware of phones already in their inventory before 5/8/24. Only way to know for sure is wait to see if your phone is unlocked 180 days after activation.

If Metro doesn't unlock your phone until 365 days (per the new policy) but the phone says 180 days then you can sue them

Lol...yep.. I will have my top notch attorney team ready for this battle 😄..

Your explanation above make sense,it could be on the inventory with old firmware prior to the policy change with that said 365 maybe not apply ..will try 181 days unlock see if any luck 🤞

I've been using the Moto e 2020 (XT2052DL) on Red Pocket/GSMA the past year or two. Also, a Moto G Power 2020 (XT2041DL) last year, primarily as a hotspot but talk/text seemed to work fine.

They aren't 5G phones so LTE. I also have an unlocked Metro 2022 5G Stylus on GSMA, it's usually on LTE, occasionally 5G. No complaints.

Ask oregon14 or someone who already received their phone to check its IMEI against those providers. Locked or Unlocked does not change a phone's compatibility check.

EDITED: if the MVNOs use T-mobile network, most likely it WILL work. If the MVNOs use AT&T network, most likely it will NOT work.
This theory doesn't hold the truth.

Look above comments from AnciusD, real user experience.. IMEI checker can be ignored..

You can ignore the IMEI Check result if you want, but if the IMEI doesn't pass the IMEI Checker of a provider (AT&T, Visible, Verizon, etc) it will not let you activate a BYOP SIM with your phone's IMEI. I know that people went ahead and swapped in an already-activated SIM of that provider and it works, but you're using that SIM improperly. There are cases when later on the provider shuts down service to that phone (Visible did it to member zapjb, TF/Verizon did it to some members of Howard Forums). Do it at your own risk.

I bought 2x of these on my account and my partner's account. They took the $81 for each, but I never received an order number via email or tracking number.

Did anyone else run into issues with this?

Thanks. Frustrating they wouldn't even talk to me to help without my order number.
