Does anyone with prior ST experience know if it's fine to activate one of the phones now, and another one in July? Would the prepaid service have been expired by then or not?

I logged in with the email address used while ordering. All I see in the order details is "Approved" and the amount charged. I see the amount was debited from my credit card. The order does not have any details about the phone that I ordered. No email confirmation. Before you suggest - not even in spam folder.

I chatted through their website. They scheduled a call back at 12:45 . Got the call back at 12:45 (impressed!). They say order is good but the phones are back ordered. I ordered on Jun 14. I asked for the order to be cancelled. They said they cannot cancel. I am stuck till the order ships. if at all.

Received my phone yesterday. Great phone for the price! I'll use it as my back up once unlocked, as Verizon is my service provider. I texted the word unlock to 611611 and got a response that it will be eligible for unlock on August 21 and that I must call a number in order to get unlock code and instructions.

Disabled or uninstalled mobile services I don't remember which. Turned off hello Moto at startup. Thanks to all who posted helpful information in this thread!

Just an FYI, the phone came in straight talk green retail packaging. As others have mentioned, there is no straight talk or tracphone message at startup. And there is in fact 8 GB of physical ram with an additional 4 GB of ram plus so on the ram plus screen it shows a total of 12 GB.

Lots of bloatware to uninstall or disable, yet the phone is fast after updates and setup is complete. Camera takes good pictures for a budget phone.

Hope everyone enjoys their purchase!

For the previous iPhone se 3rd generation last November, the phone unlocked after 60 days without opening the box, just needed to activate online or by phone.
I take it everything worked out fine with the unlock process. Hopefully they ship mine out next week, but I will be away for a few weeks but would also like to activate the phone online or over the phone without opening it.

Can't wait to play with this and see how far budget phones have come in the last 7 years. Thanks to everyone that contributed to the wiki.

One question though my hearing is really bad do you think I can get the unlock code through text or email?

Yes you can. When you put in a request to unlock the phone, they will give you instructions on the unlock page and send you an email too.

As Benny G92 said, the Unlocking site will display the instructions and unlocking codes if the phone needs to be unlocked manually by keying in codes. However, the info in the Unlocking Policy says phones sold after June 2023 are capable of getting unlocked automatically. I know someone on Howard Forums who had their Samsung A03s phones (bought after June 2023) unlocked automatically.

Below is a screenshot of the unlocking instructions and codes for one of my older phones.

Ordered on the 19th, no updates or shipping confirmation from ST, this morning when I checked the UPS App and it shows tracking for delivery on the 25th from CEVA DIRECT SALES, now 2 lines are listed on my account ready to activate.

Can I port out the number after activation and still eligible for the unlock after 60 days?

My 2x were ordered on the 14th and supposedly just shipped yesterday afternoon, but no tracking yet nor ETA. Just the day before, I got a backordered message. If you ordered on the 19th and already have tracking info, sounds like the backlog is being cleared up pretty quickly.

Interesting--now that my phones are in shipping stage, I can see them linked to my account and actually have the option of activating them there. Any thoughts about doing it that way to save a few days on unlock time before they actually get to me physically? Yeah, I'd still do a call and the 611611 unlock text on arrival, too. But by activating them now, it would save a few days on the tail end.

How do you turn off the "Hello Moto" at startup?

Toggle the power on sound to off. This can be found under the sound settings.

I have the same question, done it before with MetroPCS devices and it worked, but never had any experiences with ST. If they have the same CS as Tracfone then I'm a bit concerned.
