Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

AND neighbor's dog's name.

JUST kidding... never need to provide SSN for a phone plan. Just refuse and if they insist get a prepaid plan from elsewhere.

Really? download speed of 0.15 Mbps?
Yes, it really was that slow. Verizon isn't as good as it used to be. I did do some testing later and it did improve some, but still not great.

Does anyone know a secret method to make these Moto phones bought from carriers (not Motorola) compatible with MVNOs that use AT&T towers?

If a phone model is not on AT&T whitelist and its IMEI doesn't pass AT&T Compatiblity Check https://www.att.com/buy/byod/iden...sByod=true AT&T won't let you ACTIVATE a BYOP SIM with it even if it has the compatible bands. People who have this phone checked their IMEI and it did not pass the AT&T Compatibility Check. This is a common issue with phones that are not factory-unlocked and were sold by AT&T competitors. Same with the Compatibilty Check of some MVNOs that use AT&T.

I do have patience and have no problems waiting if there was proper information/response that I can trust.
I haven't received any acknowledgment email so far (yes I have checked spam). The order details does not have any details in Transactions. All it has is amount $79.15.

When I called, once they said the phone is already shipped and will receive it the next day. Other times they said it's back ordered. Now I am reading here that others who ordered later have received it. At this point, I am convinced that the order is in limbo and there's no point in waiting.
The charge on your CC is literally the acknowledgement you are looking for.

Well that sucks, I was hoping to use these phones on Cricket Wireless. I'll still keep the phones because they're decent and T-Mobile works well in my area too. I've heard horror stories about refund and returning devices to Tracfone (and their sister companies) so I'm not even waste my time or energy to go through with it.

Since they don't refund service plans and phone was free there's nothing to return even if you wanted to.

You paid $0 for this phone you can't return it the plan isn't refundable.

Why not just buy cricket phone with new line and change it on main cricket line. Same phone is free with $5 port number and $60 plan.

Maybe if you have a friend at ATT that you can persuade Wink5 to whitelist your phone.

But how long will the phone be locked to Cricket, and how many days of paid service are needed to get unlocked?
