Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

If for some reason it doesn't automatically unlock (& it should) you just go to the unlock website, enter the requested info & they send the unlock codes & instructions.
You don't have to chat or contact support at all.
what is the unlock website ?

So if I understand correctly, I can buy a 2nd for only $30 after activating the 1st regardless of whether it's arrived from what recent posts indicate, and spending only $42.5 with autopay enabled on it, for a total of $72.50 before tax and fees, whereas if I buy both in one order, the total would be $75? If there's no rush, I may as well save that $2.50
Since no one's answered my question yet, I tried asking Straight Talk and they confirmed the family plan doesn't combine with the auto refill discount, which is corroborated by a popup when clicking "Get details" on https://www.straighttalk.com/plans/family-plan, but they replied that for the 2nd phone, it's $30 after both phones are activated, so it'd cost me $90 for both, then on the next billing cycle I'd get the $15 discount for a total of $75.

Are they wrong, or is the 2nd paragraph on the wiki where it says "You can order a second phone from your account after receiving and activating the first to get it at $30"?

Idk what parts of that response is accurate but I ordered a 2nd after receiving and activating first. It was $30 plus taxes. Total for 2 was just over $80. I figure just over $40 each isn't bad.

Were you able to apply the auto-refill discount of $2.50 on the 1st, before getting the 2nd for $30 plus tax? Given what the popup on Straight Talk's page said, I feared I wouldn't get the $15 off the 2nd when I decide to buy it, if I enabled auto pay for the 1st

Online customer service do lie.
Don't believe me? Try Comcast customer service.
Try TracFone customer service.

Yes, it was set for 1st line with a little savings from that. Did not set for second order, as it did not change price. Turned it off on the account after activation of 1st one so I wouldn't forget.

ALL new activations are Verizon, they own the company. Didn't you do any research before you purchased the phone?

Does anyone know if the lines will get automatically activated after certain days since ordering? I got the device today but don't need the actual service until August. I don't mind delaying activation delays the unlock timeline. Just didn't want to fully waste the full month of service for nothing. TIA

Yes, you can wait, but don't accidentally activate your phone on the straight talk website.
