Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

I have disabled about 60 packages and my phone is working fine--I am not missing any functionality that I care about. But evaluate yourself whether you want to disable all the same packages (or more or less of them). Here is what I am using (read the README worksheet for more details about what I did):

Wow, not a bad deal @ $46.35 (total with tax). I ordered this directly from Straight Talk on 6/26 and was delivered on 7/1 despite it being backordered until 7/10. This phone runs surprisingly well, MediaTek has come a long way since I last had a tablet using its SoC years ago. This phone runs smoother and cooler than my Pixel 6a and Galaxy A54 and rivals the performance of my Pixel 6a. Also, the bloat was on par with my A54 even after flashing the A546U1 firmware on it. Here's my experience using it for several days:

Pros
--Headphone jack (crazy to see in 2024)
--SD card slot and eSIM
--FM Radio (I wish more high-end phones had this)
--Smooth experience with the SoC
--GPS/compass works better than my Pixel 6a
--Good display and smooth with refresh rate
--Good battery life
--Fingerprint reader on power button (Capacitive fingerprint readers are still way more reliable)
--Minimal "skin" on UI
--Back of phone is "grippy"

Cons
--500ish nits maximum for the display brightness (personally this wasn't an issue even outside in direct sunlight, I find LCD to be easier on my eyes in general)
--LCD display in 2024. This means no Always on Display or Peek Display features, which is harder to get used to than you'd expect.
--Massive size (like phones closer to 6 inches diagonally, which is much better ergonomics for one-handed usage)
--Stock camera is barely mediocre
--OS support is starting to fall behind it's competitors

I wasn't able to change or delete my primary payment method for 2 weeks after activation, but I just checked today and was finally able to do it. It looks like you can't delete your payment method without replacing it, so I just swapped in a prepaid card with no balance left just in case they try to charge me despite auto-refill being off.

Very happy with the phone for the price. I think the viewing angle issues are overstated, and much less noticeable in person compared to on video. The chip is definitely not the best for games, but for browsing and videos the phone has been great for my mother.

"This is prepaid. You do NOT have to have a second month of service to get the unlock. Port out at your own risk before service expires."

Has anyone ported their number out within 30 days (on previous straighttalk deals)?

The sim card will still be in the phone, but the number will have been ported out.

I just ordered the phone + $45 plan with the intent of porting my number into this phone for the next month (my current service expires soon) and then porting right back out at day 29 so I can be a "new customer" with a different phone (not this Moto) somewhere else, probably Mint.

If I do this am I asking for trouble when I try to unlock this Moto at day 61?

Take a look towards the bottom left corner of the page. When you arrive, you'll be on the "README" tab, which has the explanation you mentioned. Click on the "Enabled" tab right next to the first one to see the list of packages.

For those less familiar with the process, once you filter column C on the "yes" tag, you can simply copy and paste the ~60 command lines in column D into an adb shell session. Hope this helps!

Trouble has a middle name, it's idiot. Don't be that guy.
