"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.
Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.
Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Becky"

Are you getting 5G on ATT GSMA redpocket?

I keep getting temp security codes from the guy who bought my phone on eBay when he adds data.
#1- due to unlock tomorrow the 17th.. It unlocked today. Also received a 'your service will terminate soon text' yesterday.
#2 due to unlock on the 18th. Received the same terminate soon text today. Should unlock tomorrow.
Also, I inserted a freedompop/redpocket ATT sim in the unlocked phone and calls and data works fine. No APN setup required. So we can safely say these are unlocked for all networks.
Hey Oregon, did your phone receive that text? R U still locked?
I do remember getting a similar text when my 30 days ran out weeks ago but nothing this week.
This is why so many hate dealing with customer support and avoid it, it's absolutely frustrating.

Original sims in place.
Airplane mode off.
Wi-Fi on.
restarted phones and both unlocked.
Only paid for 1 month service on each.
I never deactivated or did anything with account/phone - and was never notified of any activity (they usually send txt or email).
Has to be a ST system glitch and might be what screwed up the unlock in some way.

Full text reads: Your service will terminate soon. To keep your number and get your service back up and running, Refill Now (with a hyperlink listed)
Tried using one to get the free 15 day e-sim trial on Visible that doesn't requiring giving a credit card and it works fine. Speeds are just as slow as Straight Talk though, around 20 mbps down and 2 mbps up.
