Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

If after 60 days then you're in the same boat as others from todays postings. Try to get them to transfer you to the unlock dept. but you will probably have to wait til Monday. Not sure if anything happens on the weekend. But you can try tomorrow if you like.

Pop the ST sim back in and text the 611611 again. Who knows, maybe that can trigger their system.

I did not pay them. I really think they were just looking for a way to get me off the phone.

I called back and was transferred me to Unlocking Dept. This time they said I needed a CDMA SIM card in order to trigger the phone to unlock. So i downloaded the Verizon app and got a 30 day trial. So far still locked.

Think I may file complaint to FCC. https://www.fcc.gov/general/cell-phone-unlocking
The sim you have in the phone should be fine, there's no such thing as a CDMA sim anymore, they're all LTE and it's a recently released phone.
You're getting the runaround.
My 2nd should unlock next week & if it doesn't automatically unlock I'll contact FCC as well (had to do it once before).
The less I have to deal with support the better.

My phone got unlocked today by itself. I just switched on the phone and checked the status. It says unlocked.

I activated the second phone a month later and it's due for unlocking on 9/16. Will wait and see how it goes

Had 2 phones bought online and only paid 1mo service -- text message confirmation from June said 8/18 unlock date

Turned on both phones just now while connected to wifi and Settings/About page automatically changed to "Network Unlocked" -- yesterday it was still showing locked

Just an FYI if the phone works with a certain SIM but fails the IMEI checker it could be kicked off the network at any time. It's russian roulette.
Which certain sim is that? Great to have a heads up on the issue. Thz

This. I inserted a cricket sim into a blacklisted phone (I didn't know), it worked for 10 mins then stopped and my service got suspended.

It's more so the carrier. For example, ATT has a whitelist of phones that can be approved on their network. It's best to use their IMEI checker to see if the phone is compatible.

FYI: T-Mobile and their carriers are the most BYOD friendly network. They usually accept phones that are not accepted on networks like ATT And Verizon.

The phone was unlocked and originally used on ATT. The phone got blacklisted after the original owner reported it as stolen. Don't buy phones off eBay lol

FYI - there's definitely an issue with my phone/account because it shows phone activation date, then 1 day later a deactivation, then 1 day later a reactivation, then a final deactivation when plan expired.
I never deactivated or did anything with account/phone - and was never notified of any activity (they usually send txt or email).
Has to be a ST system glitch and might be what screwed up the unlock in some way.
Where are you seeing this activation and deactivation history? On your account page on the Straight Talk website?

Thanks!

If anyone plans to buy another phone from StraightTalk, I see in my Citi credit card merchant offers a 10% rebate offer. $30 max reward. Expires 10/31. YMMV I suppose.
