They said as long as it turns on and you have the IMEI number, they can take it.

This monthly credit nothing but scam. We have switch to apple update program we pay the same amount monthly and we get new phone every year. T mobile and other are garbage they lock you in for two years and you have to chase the rebate for the two years…. Passs
Same price? No You aren't getting an iPhone for $13 a month from apple....

ordered one via online chat.

can't do it myself at the website trading in iPhone 6, it has to be iPhone 7 and up.

broken iPhone 6 +$350 for iPhone 13, great deal.

$35 fee can be credited back, ask the rep Stick Out Tongue
Thanks, just got done doing the same thing via online chat with Tmobile. Took forever though...from start to finish 55 min of chat. I'm on SC as well (from old 4.99 tzones days) and always have trouble getting any sort of deals without having to upgrade my plan.

Originally, was going to trade in a SE 2nd gen, and that process seemed to work online, but had an old iPhone 6 lying around so I tried that online and it wouldn't work. I was also receiving the message that the phone 6 condition was not acceptable.

There's no verification of the $315 trade in amount anywhere on the emailed paperwork, although I did see the $315 amount online when I was testing the waters with my iphone SE trade in process. So I took a bunch of screenshots of the offer and my chat just in case I need it later.

Was hoping for the same type of deal for the 14 at least, knowing new phones are just around the corner, but it will have to do for now. I have a few more lines that I'm holding back just in case a better deal comes along in the near future....need to upgrade a bunch of iphone 12's.

thanks again.

my first time so I'm new to this, if I have a simple choice family plan and trade in an iPhone SE 2nd gen, and get an iPhone 15 Max, how much do I have to pay.. could somebody help me break down the payment? and how does the monthly bill credits work? Thank you very much.
TMo site says $50/mo for the 15 Pro Max. Looks like they're not currently offering any deals for trading in your SE2. Monthly credits are pretty easy: every month you own the device, you get $x dollars off of the payment. So for this iPhone 13 deal, you'd pay the sales tax on the full price, and any activation costs, then you'd pay about $13/month + service on that line (because the other ~$13/mo is the credit you'll get for 24 consecutive months).

Actually, now that I look at my contract for the purchase, it specifically states that I'm going to get $0 for my iphone 6 trade in. Can someone check their trade in amount on their paperwork and confirm if they have any amount other than a $0?

It reads as if I'm just buying the iPhone 13 using Tmobile monthly installments of $26, with no credit for trade in.
Thanks.

I see someone already replied, but I agree with him. There are potentially two credits; first is the value of the trade-in over the 24 months (here, zero), and the second is the promotional credit. You should be fine, but keep an eye on it. I'd also screenshot the offer details (including the promo code) for your records.

Anyone trading in a phone with a bloated battery?

I have one but the battery is a pillow. It does turn on but I'd be worried to ship it out

Ordered a battery on Amazon for $10

$315 credit over 24 months

I personally would prefer that vs getting a big value on the spot

I'm on simple choice so I am not going anywhere. Also, none of my lines received the new $5 per line fee that they announced a few days ago

After a literal nightmare of monthly payment credits for a phone, I'm never touching that again. Worked for six months, then they stopped giving me the credits and I had to call every month for a year and a half. Every time it took forever because they had to verify I was really eligible for the credit, then they would promise it would work from here on out and of course it never did. I wasted hours on the phone with T-Mobile over this.
There's always a horror story or two. It doesn't mean it will happen to everyone. The vast majority of people get phone promos without issue. Then someone has an issue from the carrier, so they look to buy their phone from the manufacturer instead. Then someone has a horror story about buying it from the manufacturer and swears they'll never buy from the manufacturer again. So they buy it used. Then someone has a horror story about buying a used phone where it worked for 2 months, then suddenly got blacklisted because the seller still had payments on it and stopped paying. And the buyer swears that they'll never buy a used phone ever again.

If you're that concerned about getting screwed on a phone and/or promo, just buy a new phone without a promo.

So I guess we're not allowed to share our experiences here anymore. Gotcha.
