3.75 lbs. Not light at all for a notebook this size.

Average ones are 3.4, the actual light ones are under 3. This is on the heavy side, not "ultra light".

you might have pilot error regarding the modifiers (ultra thin) and light vs ultra (thin and light). Wink just likes strawberry blonde and tall

Not ultra light, sure, but also not ultra expensive. Not many true ultra lights can be had for <$400 AR.

MIRs are a scam. Hard to believe they are still doing this in 2024.

The idea behind MIRs is that a certain percentage of buyers will not submit them, and they can deny a certain percentage due to "not following instructions" for submission. Or they deny you for literally no reason, and a certain percentage just doesn't try to fight it. The goal is to pay out as little as possible.

Yup.

In a decent country with a competent government that cares about consumer protection, shit like MIR would be illegal. Unfortunately we live in a country that has a pay-to-play government. You give money to the politicians and they do what you ask them to.

Another pet peeve of mine is how greedy companies can get away with advertising LOW LOW PRICE of x, and cause the consumer to believe that they will be paying the low price x, when in reality they will sneak in all kinds of bogus "charges" and "fees" and then add the sales tax at the very end and what you actually end up paying is a much higher price of Y.

It's literally bait-and-switch tactics used by street criminals.

Adding any of these fees and charges and sales tax are fine, of course merchants should be allowed to do that. But you must add it all up and get the final total and THAT IS WHAT YOU MUST PRESENT TO THE CUSTOMER. All sane countries do this. Hell, i saw people shopping in Russia and there, the price you see on the sign is what you pay. All the shitty fees and taxes are all included in the advertised price. The price you see is on the ad is the price you pay.

Unfortunately we do not have a sane government.

I've never had a MIR not arrive. I've had two in my life (out of hundreds) which I had to call to check on, both of which oddly were processing 'that day.' Not sure I believe that but the overwhelming majority are hardly a "scam," in my opinion.

Now most are online, darn near painless, and can be tracked with a mouse click.

Thats exactly the reason,

Keep copies of your submission and follow up in the off chance that occurs. You decided to do the multistep process...then complain the process is multistep?

Otherwise buy the item with a $10 instant discount, not the $100 rebate. You are enjoying the extra savings because you aren't that guy who can't follow directions Wink

JUSA *is* a dictatorship.

It has a pretty consistent habit of throwing political opposition in prison. Or outright assasinating them. What's the going odds on Orange guy mysteriously deciding to end his own life in prison? While coincidentally all 12 surveillance cameras mysteriously fail to work.

guess, the education system has gone backwards of late.

modifiers usually apply to the nearest adjective Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Still have no clue really what you're trying to prove, but it appears to me you're trying to make a strawman argument. Whatever makes you feel better and gets you through the day.
