This store sucks. On their last sale, they never confirmed my order. After a week without any updates or responses to my emails, I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. AVOID!!!

Ok so I'm not crazy… they are absolute trash these days.
The tongue, that is.
Why do companies fix what isn't broken?!

I've been using GT2000s and Gel Kayanos since high school, tried Brooks Adrenaline and Mizuno and others, they've always caused problems. Even GT2000s are not consistently providing the stability that I need anymore, so I've pretty much decided to stick with Kayanos for the foreseeable future. This is a good price but most sizes are now sold out. The knitted (MK) version is still available in my size but I'm hesitant on that one as the only knitted GT2000 I've had fell apart faster than the regular one and didn't provide any benefit.

Edit: took a look at some reviews of the MK, it turns out to have no tongue and an elastic band across the top of the foot and people complain of blisters it causes - definitely not for me as I know the top of my foot is sensitive to lace pressure from overly thin tongues. It looks like Asics discontinued the MK version for the Kayano 30 so I'm probably not alone in this.

FWIW I'm currently running a mix of 28 and 29, both work fine and in my opinion are not the huge change from prior Kayanos that people talk about.

As a long time Asics customer (10_15+ years) I have to say F U,. The new tongue you have on so many of your shoes has forced me to look and frankly buy elsewhere. I appreciate the Deal Alert notification so I can remember that I need to remove from SD…

To me, it felt as if the "max cushion" of the Kayano 29 was less cushion than an Asics Excite.

Curious what you have found that has a similar performance and fit? I had Mizunos that I liked that were close, but have not tried them for several years.

The new design makes shoes break easier, so more people will be forced to get new ones.

And I feel they get narrower each gen. I used regular since kayano 18 until 26 (didn't have all gens) and for 27 I had to buy extra wide and 29 even 4E feels narrow and the tonge is weird.

I bought brooks adrenaline gts and I've been very happy (and didn't have to get wide for a good fit)

I bought brooks adrenaline gts and so far they been great for me as a long kayano user. After the first 100km I feel they won't last as long but they are cheaper (and easier to find on sale) so I can just replace them more quickly
