For that to be even a close possibility you would need a managed L2/L3 switch.

2.5Gbase-T runs just fine up to 100m on cat 5e.
I use these things for audio networks, so SFT ports are a must.

Now I can upgrade all three of my switches. My MoCA devices support 2.5GB. So assuming my wall keystone jacks are capable of handling the speeds (they should, right?), then I should be able to get 2.5GB speeds on my LAN (theoretically), correct? I have a NAS that has 2.5GB ports. I don't currently have lag issues watching a movie from my NAS server, but… if I ever wanted to put large video files and tried editing from my NAS, this is probably where I'd see the biggest improvement, no?

But Cat5e was not originally intended to work at those speeds. "Official" documentation doesn't usually list Cat5e for speeds above 1G. Whether or not it works can depend of factors like the quality of the cable, interference along the run (like going over AC power lines), and even the quality of your termination.
So for anyone curious if your existing cabling will support higher speeds, be optimistic, but test it out before investing too much. If you are buying new cables, pick something higher than Cat5e. Troubleshooting issues related to inadequate cabling can be a huge pain.
